in the pic they basically rotate it 180 degrees and use a battery half the size such as spoon odessey or buddyClub

there are plenty of DIY battery relocating forums BUT most are to the trunk. Why dont you just buy the intake and save up for the relocating kit buy that and find the best deal on a smaller battery. NRG cell is 110 and thats what im using.

Also i got the email from password about the kevlar so i knew it was coming out soon but it will probably be more expensive

I guess that is true, it seems to have a large increase in torque off the line which is very desirable and it looks like it packs on most of the HP in the upper end. Much better than stock.

Still, I think I prefer the CAI gains, it seems like a more uniform overall gain with lots of mid range and upper end gains.

Horsepower Gain
• 1500 to 3500 HP range: 2 to 1
• 3500 to 5500 HP range: 1 to 5
• 5500 to redline HP range: 5 to 5

Torque Gain
• 1500 to 3500 TQ range: 5 to 1
• 3500 to 5500 TQ range: 2 to 5
• 5500 to redline TQ range: 4 to 4

Smile Cai

I agree totally with your CAI statement. There is no subsititue! Unfortunetly people will argue this fact till DEATH, but at the end of the day the further away the intake cone better chance for cooler air. More cooler air more power....I like S/R intakes as well but for quater mile n drag applications...CAI.

Peace.

Yeah generally speaking any intake you put on is always an improvement (There are of course some exceptions). In immediate gains the chamber intakes do well and it seems they really benifit when you initially hit the gas, great for city driving actually. As far as SRI's go I don't really like them **Sugarphreak runs for cover**

The reason I prefer the CAI is that one you get off the Dyno and onto the street you are really getting the benifit of sucking in air from outside rather than heat soaked air from under the hood. When I go on long trips and pop the hood it is SUPER hot under there, But my car pulls and pulls on those hilly mountain roads. Plus my car has retarded amounts of extra power over stock when I get up into the higher RPM range, and the sound is super nice (I love it!). I will be the first to admit that my CAI is kind of a dog off the line though (at least that is what my butt-dyno tells me)

Smile Need Choice of Words

Well put ! I think it comes down to the driver as well. Take similiar bolt on's, one fit has a S/R and the other a CAI. Just because "THEY SAY" a S/R...Chamber Intake has better throttle response does not mean the S/R or Chamber will take a CAI off the line. I lauch the F*** out of the Fit w/ my CAI doesn't seem like any lose. If you want to get a lauch you need to understand the CLUTCH....IMO alot of drivers sux. But hey what do I know.

Peace
