IMO Nope.. once you go turbo your goin to be increasing your fuel probably with a fuel pump and a FPR and i'm not sure how you would stay out of boost because A.) you will want to step on the gas and B.) I'm sure the turbo used for the L15 is a relatively small turbo and will probably spool up quite quickly so you'll probably find yourself boosting quite often. Just for the record I had a 98 LS DC2 Turbo (Drag III Kit)

^ agreed. staying out of boost might be super hard for our fits due to the fact that most of us will be rocking smaller turbos and not huge ones which really = full boost at like 3k rpm or maybe less. however it is possible if you dont mind accelerating really slow.

but i thought sumos fit hit at 4k?
i usually use the half rule when shifting. if my redline is 6500ish i shift at 31/2 ish.
but i find it normally at 4 becuase that way i dont acclerate so slow.
but wouldnt boost HELP you with gas mileage. i know of alot of cars that have boost, and they still get pretty good gas mileage.

besides who cares about gas mileage if your going turbo. as long as you get over 25mpg thats still pretty dam good compared to other cars.
when i go boost, i could care less about my gas mileage. i just wanna go fast haha.

Just because someone says they hit full boost at 3000 rpms doesn't mean that every time you're pass 3000 rpm you'd be in boost... you can be at 6000 rpms and still be under vacuum. the engine doesn't create boost unless there is a load on it.

Ahm not necessarily because usually when you go FI you increase fuel pressure/amount of fuel fed to the engine therefore your engine is expelling more fuel regardless of if your burning it all or not. My experience has been that my gas mileage actually decreased. However I hear that with the Kraft supercharger your fuel economy does get better on highway driving. I have no experience with the L15 thou so i could be wrong.

I agree with the above statement ... heres a good rule of thumb
If it increases performance (makes you faster) and is not because of weight reduction then 9/10 times your gonna get less gas mileage... think of it as taking your L15 and turning into a 3.0L V6 or something..
