As far as I know, almost all exedy's organic clutches are oem replacements. Their cerametallic or stage II line is where the performance starts and the pedal feel is only a bit different from stock.
And as far as grabbing 40% over stock, there's no actually torque capacity rating.
if they say it is compatible with the T1R turbo then they make more torque then i did so that is false right there

I'm guessing they ordered a bunch of oem replacements and slapped their sticker on it. Chances are they did not even test it themselves.

Im surprised the OEM clutch, and this one is slipping on you. I made at least 20whp/tq more than what your at now with no slippage what soever on the OEM clutch.

That could be due to the more linear torque curve a supercharger provides.

I don't think they are that malicious, I am hoping this is just a mix up somewhere and maybe some OEM ones got stamped & shipped out by accident. If that is the case I am sure they will help you out.

Anyway, I would suggest talking to them to find out the scoop; right now speculating is not a construtive way to deal with this. Nobody who builds a reputation sets out to rip people off, I don't think AJR is that kind of shop.

The ARJ car runs this clutch on the track with way more power, so there has to be something to that.

Anyway, obvoiusly this sucks big time for gd3kamiwanaB. Hopefully you get this sorted out quickly with them.

What I meant was that they ordered the exedy clutches. Whether they knew if they were oem replacements or not, no one knows but aj-racing themselves.

Next time check out Ogura clutch when they make the USDM one. Ogura or nothing for me. They make high quality racing clutches. Expensive but worth it.

well i only ask because if its under warranty you can usually get your money back even if you used it because you are not satisfied.

i hope that is the case with the T1R.

I do kind of agree with others that you should contact AJ-R about your problem before exploiting the issue on the forum. It just causes a lot of unnecessary confusion and hate.

I find it extremely offensive that you state in your sig "Don't give money to Canada". If you had a bad experience with a certain shop, sort it out and do it in a mature manner. Do not go off and insult your northern neighbors. It's just a bad way of handling things. I bought my N1Concepts LED tails and they are crap quality, but I don't go off insulting the USA. I have been scammed a few times off ebay by American sellers, but I don't go off blaming the rest of the country for being scammers.

I recently bought a "authentic" mugen gauges pod from and Aussie seller on the forum.. when i got it, it was fake, didn't fit right, and was useless to me. I didn't go off posting on the forum that "Crocodile Dundee is a Crock of %$#".. I contacted the seller, and they compensated me in a mature manner. I didn't need to flame them on the forum...

AJ-R has done a lot of R&D for our cars, supplied us with plenty of aftermarket support, and have done the best they can to meet all of our demanding needs.

In response to the shipping of parts to the US, don't blame AJ-R, blame the Canadian/U.S. Customs officials at the border. I bought my T1R turbo kit and it arrived at my doorstep in 2 days... I've bought many things from the US, and they have taken anywhere from 5 days to 8 weeks!

I checked their website and it still says the clutch kit is recommended for a tuned or turbo L15 engine.

What did the box that it came in say? T1R, excedy or Honda?
