E85?

Has any one tried to convert there car to run on E85? There is a guy on my local forum that has a Turboed AT CR-V making 200whp on E85. It just got me to thinking if any one here has tried converting the car and what has to be done.

E85 is the biggest scam ever concieved

In current engines, E85 provides about 30 percent less fuel economy than gasoline.

hmmm...well the few people that I have heard about running E85, in non E85 cars are not realy looking for fuel economy. I dont know much about E85 but I guess it has a higher octane rating then normal pumped gas so I was just wondering if any one is running it here.

I'm sorry, my first post added nothing to help you with your original question Just me ranting.... stupid E85, lol

E85 is supposed to make more power, but studies are finding unless the engine is specficially designed to run on it there isn't any huge advantage. But there may be something to what you were saying; you might be able to squeeze out some extra power on a turbo if you can adjust the timing.

its possible to maybe run it. you would need wayyy bigger injectors but tuned it would make nice power. not sure on the fit though

my friend with a subie is running 1650 injectors. he said something about it being a 30 percent increase thats why he is running them so big. so we would need maybe ...800cc inj? haha not sure but not many places carry it

we have a rsx on e85 1000cc injectors...makes 60whp more on e85 than a tune on 93 octane does.

E85 is the wonder drug for tuners. you can run crazy timing! on the rsx it makes 490stock engine on pump93. e85 it makes 555whp. =)

Yes you can do it on a fit. bigger injectors, tuneable ecu..have a pro tune it like Jason@fastlane.
