well for me, 250 HP is PLENTY for a daily sub 3k lbs car....swapping a k and building the L need to be considered...How much did Josh spend for rods and pistons?....My guess is less than $1500..then add in a HKS for 3k...so that is 4.5 k....still less than a K swap...ans hella easier!
