"SSR" Intake on 2013 Fit Sport

Has anyone done one of those "Sid Short Ram" intakes on their 2013 (or like model year) Fit? I was reading in the "Official Sid Short Ram Intake" sticky (https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...am-intake.html) that it wasn't as easy to do or something on the newer model Fits because of some part or piece you have to use or alter from the stock intake box? Can anyone clear that all up for me? Or does anyone have pictures of how to do the entire install?

I'm not sure about that. I just followed the DIY for mine on my 2012 sport AT and didn't have any problems. I don't think your 2013 would be any different. I did order a new air box lid from Bernardi Parts and cut the MAF tube out of that, so my stock air box is still completely intact in case I ever want to go back. The hardest part to me was just finding the right reducing fittings to make everything fit together correctly. Sid mentions that the reducer isn't very common and he's correct. I used a K&N cone filter that was an inch or two shorter than the Spectre one he used and it has plenty of clearance and isn't touching anything.

I think I see the problem now. The thread you linked is for the 2008 and older Fit. This one should be much more useful:

Yep, I did mine about a year ago. It's been working great.....sounds more like a race car when you're really flogging it. When just driving around normally it really doesn't sound any different than stock.
