I reread all 24 pages of this thread, and there's so much different conflicting info about the HP gains. I'd still like to see an official dyno of a bone stock A/T Fit, a dyno with the 5# kit, and a dyno with the CARB-legal $365 JR header and 5# kit -- all on a warmed-up A/T Fit, the same Fit preferably. Numbers from 105whp to 130whp have been thrown about for a stock A/T Fit plus 5# kit.

there is no kit for the AT yet so therefor that is why there is no dyno.

A bone stock manual should be putting down about 127whp. probably even a little less for the AT. maybe 120?

Just gonna crunch manual 127 whp (stock + 5# kit) through the drive train efficiencies...

127 whp / (90/109) -> 153 crank hp (manual)
153 crank hp * (80/109) -> 112 whp (auto)

ie, 127 whp on the manual suggests 112 whp on the auto, if
one extrapolates from 109 crank hp stock, and 90 whp on a
stock manual and 80 whp on a stock auto. Of course this is
no substitute for some dyno charts...

A CARB-legal exhaust header would push 112 to 120 whp you think?
+50% whp is a magical number in my head for some reason, for
convincing me to drop the bucks when the product is available.

This Kit haven't released yet right?

I think only Oscar & Chris are the only one have this Kit installed on their car and the sad thing is that there is no release date!

I wish this Kit could be my X'mas gift last year and now is another eight months passed but still no release date and I finally give up and installed the HKS turbo Kit!

What I can think of is to use the supercharge to operate before 3,500 rev and Turbo start kicks in at 2,500/3,000 and full take up the boost at 3,500 rev. I think that will be fantastic!

Anyone know how to set this up!

So then the a-j TR turbo kit puts out more whp then the jackson racing supercharger? The turbo kit puts out like 160whp. The supercharger only puts out 130whp? If that is the case I will be getting a turbo instead.

hey chris ive been keeping my eyes on this post and getting realy excited, i understand the reasons behind you never posting any pictures of the kit, but i was curious if you could post a sound clip, i would love to here this kit up and running, also to hear how loud the blow off is. its not too loud is it, im hoping for close to nothing, im thinking what a nice sleeper. oh and boy do you need some tint on that fit, cali laws aside and all, it just looks like its missing it.

I love extrapolation...

If the 10# kit is $4999, then for $3499 one should get...

3499 * (10 / 4999) -> 7

...one should get a 7# kit.

Is there some reason that a 6# or 7# kit can't be CARB legal? Is 5# at 80% duty cycle of the stock injector already?

Guy I'm really interest to get the JCR supercharge for my Fit. I just have few question for you guys or Chris. Since the 10lbs kit not Street legal, how can you guys pass the emission if you guys install the 10lbs kit??? I want to get 10 lbs Kit, but I don't think NYC can pass the emission/inspection on this Kit.............poor me.

Also, I don't know how to make up the number about the whp?? so 130whp = how much hp to the engine?? it is another 20%?? so 130whp = 150hp??

Also, Chris.........when is the supercharge start to kick in?? is it just like "CHINA FIT" said start kick in at 3500rev??

like I said in a prvious post, the Dyno AJ-R posted showed 147 or 48WHP for their 6psi kit not 160.

Either a removal of the 10lb kit or a "hookup" smog will be required to pass emissions. As far as when the SC kicks in, it is a constant power unlike a turbo when it starts at a certain RPM

Do you rekon removing the belt will disable the supercharger temporarily for smog inspection? Also hook up a normal intake. I think that might work somewhat.. hehe

it could possibly, however i think it might still fail, as the electronics will still be telling the motor to send more fuel to the motor making it run rich, which might cause you to fail.

For the 5# kit if you make the pulse width stretch blackbox removable, then seems like it would work, if the belt runs free from the SC. What about the "visual inspection" though...

shoot ive never had a visual inspection when smogging, with the past two 2002 and up cars ive owned they connect to your ecu and stick the thing in the exhaust and thats all, but nevada is pretty carefree when it comes to emissions, half the diesels running turbos in the area have "banks" kits and put out more emissions than id say half of cali combined. but what can you expect from a state whos state flower is a construction cone. black smoke baby... black smoke...

Are we running a piggy back or some sort for the SC? I guess what I sorta ment was to disconnect anything that will disable the SC. I'm new to the SC stuff.

Visual? Unless you live in a really strict area, I wouldn't worry about it. Usually here in TX, in most cities, they just check u'r oil cap and such. I don't remember them looking under my hood or under the car. They just ask if i have a cat.

Here in California, I failed a smog visual inspection once because my air intake tube was silver instead of black. This was on an old piece of junk stock Chevy Sprint (that got 45+ mpg), not some modded souped up car. I had to drive down to Kragen, replace the stupid tube from the carb air filter to the air inlet, and go back.

If I could only register the car out of state...
