i remember jackson racing doing developement with our dealership a while back. that was when they released the supercharger for the prelude. the car was then sold off the lot! that would be dope if the supercharger could be warrantied with the car. i'll check to see the details on how we did that prelude.

I spoke to my dealership yesterday and they said that adding a supercharger to the car would only void the warranty on the engine but would leave the warranty for the rest of the entire vehicle intact. Does this sound correct???

Any update from JC?

I plan to have the SC as my X'mas gift last year then changed my plan as a Easter gift for myself but it seems now the plan have to revise again (especially I believe that the international version will come last!) Not sure it is too aggressive to plan this to become my ID4 gift or should set this as my X'mas gift for 2007!

I was told when I started to modify my Accord that the warranty would stay OK but if the engine broke then the warranty was void IF it could be proven that the mod did not do the job... ha! I have a friend at work that has a 2006 Civic SI... he is disappointed in the Honda engine since he has been through a couple already (Honda keeps putting engines...) But... he street races (he is young and crazy) and is disappointed since when taking corners at OVER 100 (no... not kph... mph!) the engine breaks because of the fact that the oil is pushed over to one side and the pump can't do the lubrication... hmmmm

I'd like to see an international version as well.

Wouldn't mind SC'ing my 1.2 iDSi engine, hahaha, although that said, it's mega slow so no point spending £1-2k on a SC when I can drop in a K20 for about the same price.

Yes, but there are some dealerships, who are authorized dealers of "A" or "B" products (AEM, Comptech--R.I.P. --, etc) who will warranty if a) the products are installed by them and/or b) the part does not cause whatever component it's attached to to fail.

Read up on the Magnuson-Moss Act for more info on how it generally works.

Some dealerships actually have a designated area for aftermarket support and will back you up. Fredrick Nissan in Gaithersburg, MD, for example, I believe is one of them. They sell cars, NISMO equipment, do full custom audio installs (fiberglass, etc), engine swaps, body conversions...the works. And they're nice people to boot.

Your friend gives all Civic owners a bad name. I really dislike people who do dishonest things like this and don't get caught. Karma will catch him though....

this subject has been beat'n like a dead horse one billion times

aftermarket parts only void the warranty if they are the cause of failure to that particular part

so if your supercharger is the reason the engine blows , yes you voided the warranty, if it blew because of a factory part malfunction , depending on the dealership, they will still cover it under warranty

i had a 03 Si with a jackson supercharger, the engine failed and they still covered it under warranty because the SC was not the cause of the problem

GOSH!

Got an email from Oscar Jr. last week saying the release has been delayed. No other specifics.

Interesting.... no bragging about the joys of a supercharged fit from jdmchris either.... wonder if they have encountered problems/issues with the system??? Inquiring minds would love to know.

No problems on my fit at all since ive gotten it back. Getting the same MPG avg that i was getting before the install as well . I will brag about being fast when i upgrade to the 10lb kit . The delay i dont think has anything to do with the kit, im sure they are just delayed by getting the new JR portion of the company up and going. They were scrambling like crazy to get the stuff ready for realease when I dropped off my fit. It should be getting released here soon.

Its not OMG fast, but it is a huge improvement over stock. Fit was keeping up with 3 series beamer/ pulls better than EP Civic.

That's what I like to hear. 5psi correct? I know the kit's not out, but was it truly bolt-in? I saw this again in the SIphon magazine and they had good things to say about it. How's the BOV? My guess is you're hitting mid/low 15s? I know EPs aren't that fast though, good to know it pulls better than one =) Also, is it your DD?
