Question Accessory socket to full time

I just got an '09 Fit Sport and am disappointed that the power socket is only active with ACC or RUN. I hate having my GPS restart after gassing up or having lunch. Anyone changed the wiring to be full time on and how did you do it?

how about you just hard wire a new cigarette connector from the fuse box? the shack (aka radio shack) has them. just tap into a non-switched fuse using add-a-circuit. but remember, you can drain your tiny battery if you forget to unplug it.

I bought two Accessory sockets (OEM) from College Hills Honda and intalled one of them on the top of the dashboard on the left side, right next to the junction of the windshield and the funcky sidemirror and ran that from an "add-a-circuit" to fuse #13 - ACC socket. now have a GPS with a built-in battery, so I don't concern myself with the GPS shutting down with the engine off and the cord is not dangling over the front of the dash.

The other socket will be located on the back of the console in the cargo area and I will use another "add-a-circuit" to power it up.
