One HID went out

Okay, so the one HID went out on my Accord (which now belongs to my sister) and I'm trying to figure out what exactly is wrong.

I did some research and find out it could be either the bulb or ballast, but also learned that the bulbs hardly ever go out since there are no filaments.

When I switch on the headlights, I only hear the buzzing coming from the passenger side ballast (the working side) and there is no buzzing coming from the driver side ballast ( the non-working side).

I just want to confirm if that means the ballast went out which has caused the HID to go out.

Thanks

it's probably the ballast, even more likely so if you have one of those cheap plug-n-play kits

4 yrs is not bad... swap the ballast and see what happens... You should do a retro for your sister... Good luck
