Mine have been burnt for about two months now (lasted less than 3 months). I've been lazy in taking them off but last week they started smoking, almost caught fire. Took em off right away, after that I don't think ill be getting film for my foglights. Btw this was with koolkevs film, not sure which brand he uses though.

sounds like its ur bulbs.... not the film.... i have the same brand film that kev sells.... (i think its lamin-x... though i didnt get it from him) they have been on my car for just about a year now and i have no burning. i have aftermarket yellow bulbs that are the same wattage as stock - 60 watts i believe. they get alittle hotter then the stock... but not enough to burn the film.
if you have aftermarket bulbs make sure they are not higher wattage then stock bulbs because u can run into bigger problems then just burning film.
and if u have stock bulbs... i dont see any reason that they should have burned; let alone smoke like that. those things really dont get that hot.

Metalhead88 you are right, using stock bulbs causes no problems but aftermarket bulbs that increase wattage will burn.
I use xpel brand. I used to carry lamin-x way back in the stone age (actually the first 10 sets) and 8 of them PM'd me back saying it was burnt. Lamin-x has a guarantee that if it burns they will send you a new one which i did get a new set. But it burned again and then they told me "sorry we cant send u anymore" n im like dude wtf! Then i tried the xpel brand and they have the same warranty... but i have NEVER used it because it's never failed!! So i keep on using xpel... plus i have an account with them. =)

heres the fog light on the ge08
the phillips screw that needs to come out. make sure when you take this out that you either put it somewhere, or make sure it stays in the foglight housing. the first fog i did, it stayed in. the second it fell out, and i didn't realize til i was about to put it back in which ended up in a 10min search for the screw and washer. thankfully, it was right under my bumper.
pull the fog light housing out on the side of the screw first, then it slides towards the center of the car a bit to come out fully
this is the harness for the foglight.
if your comfortable with using tools, you can use a small flathead screwdriver to take the harness off.
there is a small tab that you can see is holding it in. use the screwdriver to lift it.
if you look at the pic below, and the one above you can see the small amount you have to move the screwdriver to unlock the harness. just twist the screwdriver slightly. like your turning a screw. once this is done, i found the flat stayed in the harness without touching it, allowing me to take both hands, thumbs on the wire side of the harness and my middle fingers on the fog light housing side, and pop the harness off.
the harness unhooked
the harness and the foglight both unhooked
volia, finished product
by far the easiest installs i have done. i thought i was getting into something rough, but it was super easy. i didn't want to check every page on in this thread to see if there was a GE08 done with pics yet, so i just decided to show it. thanks to KOOLKEVIN1107 for the film. they look steller. hope this helps

Yellow is currently on back order from the company. If you pre-pay, you will be first in line. Send me a PM.
I wouldn't recommend putting two layers of film. Just get some 3000k hid's. Do NOT do aftermarket bulbs, you will burn your films.

I had both the vinyl film and yellow ebay fog lights no problems with film burning and looked great really yellow at night. When I traded in the fit I replaced with oem non tinted bulbs it did not look as yellow looked way better with both film and bulb.
