I just got a new HU and i was wiring up the scosche harness that i got and i have 2 extra wires, a black with white stripe, and green with white stripe. What do these go to? and the blue lead on the antenna adapter, that goes to the power ant. lead from the HU right? Thanks in advance for the help

 

those wires go to the self-destruct button.... :P.

Are the extra wires on the headunit harness or the scoshe? I don't remember seeing those on my metra one.

And yes the blue lead for the antenna goes to the pwr lead on the hu.

 

Extra wires are for the new Civic with amplified system.. so not useful for you.

Blue wirre on adaper goes to power antenna wire, correct.

I just "finished" wiring up my harness for my Pioneer FHP8000BT...on the Pioneer side, i've got 2 wires that don't connect to anything. The first is "mute" and the second is "system remote control". Do either of those need to be hooked up? I don't see anything that corresponds on the scosche harness.

Now on the scosche harness, i have 5 wires still open...there is 1 that i'm not sure about. It's orange/black...says "dimmer ground"...nothing corresponding on the pioneer harness. i'm assuming the other 4 are just for an amp or something.

Also, on the antenna adapter, there is a blue wire that doesn't correspond to anything on the pioneer...just cap it?
