Anyone have any experience with newer harman kardon speakers? My saab 9000's stock system was made by them and sounded phenominal until the 6x9's disintegrated a few years ago. I wanted to replace them but they were going for $380 per speaker and theres no way i could afford that... and unfortunately found out the hard way how bad kenwoods sound (excelon 300watt 6x9's amped)...

wait a sec, doesnt look like they make them aftermarket anymore?

What year is the Saab? How much do you want to spend?

HK never made speakers under the HK name for cars. They actually just designed he ampifiers for the SAAB and "tuned" the system. the actual speakers, much like Bose are cheap paper cone chinese speakers.

Witht he SAAB's you generally have to change the whole system once parts start to go. since the amp has a direct digital input (Not normal analog audio in from the head unit).

The factory amp in the saab is pre -EQ'd from the factory to work with the poop speakers that were in there to make them sound the best they could. Problem is when you change the speakers, they are still being EQ's as though they were cheapo paper cones so they sound all outta whack.

Miimum your looking at is aftermarket head unit. 4 new speakers, bypass the factory amp run it all off the aftermarket head unit and bob's your uncle.
