I am running Pioneer 4200 dvd, running Factory Highs
JL Audio Slash V2 250x1 amp FITS under front driver seat, front seat is all the way back, and cut all weather mat for total flushness
JL Audio Ported 8" subwoofer

[QUOTE=raton;349172]Thanks for the replies. The Rockford looks affordable, but it probably won't fit under the seats. The Blaupunkd, JL Audio, and Alpines look like they'll fit under the seats.
  • JL Audio HD600/4:..........fits........(*$799)...............10-3/4" W x 2" H x 7-7/8" D...150x4;300x2
  • Sony XM-4S..................fits........(**$125)...............7-3/4" W x 1-3/4" H x 8-7/8" D...50/60x4
  • Alpine PDX-5.............might fit.....(*$599,**$550)....10-3/16"W x 2-1/2"H x 8-3/8"D...75x4+300;150x2+300
  • Alpine PDX-4.150.......might fit.....(*$700,**$420)....10-3/16"W x 2-1/2"H x 8-7/8"D...150x4;300x2
  • Alpine PDX-4.100.......might fit.....(*500, **$330).....10-3/16"W x 2-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D...100x4;200x2
  • Blaupunkt THA475PnP:...might fit..(*$349)...............11-1/4" W x 1-11/16" H x 7-1/4" D...75x4;180x2
  • Rockford Fosgate Punch P450.4:....(*$199)...............16-7/16"W x 2-1/16" H x 11-1/8" D
* = Crutchfield.........** = SoniceElectronix
I mainly took the local shop's word for it that the JL (and I guess the Blaupunkd) would fit under the seat. I have no idea how they'd secure it. They said they've install stuff in Fits before. I wanna double-check w/ them.

I took some quick measurements of the space under the seats...both came out to:
(w) 13" x (h) ~2 1/2" (d) 7 1/2"

check out powerbass for a new *tiny* amp. supposedly pretty powerful as well. This is an old thread but who knew? I just was looking the other day and was kinda impressed. YouTube has a video of some powerbass stuff as well. good luck.

Under the airbag on the passenger side there is plenty of air space. people should look into that.

No... only if it's not installed correctly. I've had a 0.5F cap and 2 amps in my other car for years, and the only time it's blown a fuse has been when I've done something dumb when working on it.

If you blow fuses on a regular bases you have wiring issues, a bad amp, or too small a fuse for the power you're drawing.
