I found it funny when i helped a friend move and his clothing was heavy enough to regester as a person. 30 min's of dinging, music goes up, I grin and laugh about it. I always where my belt, so i only hear it if a friend is forgetful.

This is my first honda and I have to say this seatbelt alarm (dont have any issues if it was just a light) is totally absurd and I will probally never buy a honda again because of it unless they have a option to disable it. I have only had lexus cars(toyotas) for the last 10 years and there is a light on the dash only. I do wear my seatbelt 99% of the time and im not here to justify not wearing one but for something that intrusive as that annoying chime to be mandatory is just pain silly. I think anyone that tries to defend honda on this flaw has got to put the koolaid down, Lets be real here.

One way to get around this problem with no wire cutting or so is to buy a another buckle. You can place that buckle in the seatbeat slot to stop the annoying sound. This way your not wearing a seat beat and the thing won't beat off.

It's sad how much emotion and debate a simple question can bring out in people -- sorta like when you ask your kids a "yes or no" question and you get every answer but a "yes" or a "no."
