Thank you.

Well I have looked at wheels and still have not seen the right ones. So you think a chrome look would be good? Might go well with the stainless pillars.

Oh I will not do anything til I receive your cheque. I am sure it is in the mail.

I found a site with whitewalls that fit between the tire bead and outer wheel rim.... If I could find some mid 50s spinner hub caps some 4 1/2"X15" wheels and some 5.60-15" tires I'd be so retro.... I should have stopped and cut the tail off of one of the dead raccoons on the road today. It would look cool tied onto my spring loaded antenna..

HAHA!!! You'd have to add a vinyl roof so it could look like a fake convertible, maybe with panels to turn the rear quarter glass into opera windows.

I'm thinking curb feelers and a gas pedal cover that looks like a foot.

Seriously, I think Bill's car is tastefully set up and with the subtle blue accents he has done and the subtle hint of blue that is apparent in chrome plating on wheels would look outstanding on his car.... It looks great to me like it is with the stock Sport wheels and the winter setup, with or without the hubcaps.

You are really sucking up arn't you Wily?

I must take a pic of latest mod. Only visible when hatch is open.

A question. How do you free up front wheel from disc to get it off? I have kicked them but don't want to knock it off the jack either. I have backed off the lugs a couple of turns then lowered the car to ground seems to work but always worry about breaking a stud doing that.

It is going to be sunny all week. I better find excuses to go somewhere.

Put more air in the tires, spray WD-40 or something like it where the wheel mounts to the hub, jack it up, lay on your back and kick the bottom of the tire like you wanted to kick on the butt of the guy that stole your first love... It will come off.

Put more air in? I was thinking next Spring put some WD40 on hub went mounting the Sport wheels.

Hell iffin I lay down on the drive who is going to help me up? I would likely kick the wheel off about the same time the jack slips and I am supporting the Fit on my lap. I believe next year I will spend the $20 and have my Dodge dealer do it.

If and when you get them off, get some anti seize compound and put a very very light coat on the hub where it makes contact with the wheel... I stress very light because there will be some serious braking problems if that crap ends up on the brake disk. I had to remove mine the way I described and it worked.. About getting up, what I have to do is use a cane that I leave in the barn where I work on stuff and kind of climb up it.. I used the same in Vietnam using a M16 when I was in an area where I thought it was a better choice than my issued .45 and most of the time there were plenty of trees... Our packs were pretty heavy and I was a radio operator and those things extra batteries and smoke grenades were heavy..... You are getting to be an old man too Bill. It sucks big time doesn't it?

I will put some of this on next Spring then. Not much!!

I could borrow one of the wife's canes. Can't lean on the Fit and it would bend.

Latest mod and it was free. I had the reflective vinyl. Someone else may want to add red reflector tape to theirs.

Without. A bit closer to actual colour. I was in shade taking them.

That looks great... It's little detail items like that which can make a big difference... Bill, I think I over did it over the weekend and with the drive to Dallas and all of the walking... I was up almost all night and slept till 2:45PM... I was supposed to be in Dallas at 1:PM for a consultation on oral surgery.... When the decline in health from age begins it just seems to continuously increase it's speed.... I never seem to be able to keep up with anything lately.

Taffy got a new stable mate today. My daughter needed a van so I sold her my 2004 and picked this up this morning - 2010. A few options - power seat which the wife needs and 17' aluminum wheels and running boards which I needed. Needs some Swifts -)
