Anyone have a price on OEM shocks and struts?

Just curious what it will cost to replace my shocks/struts down the road. 09 sport if this helps. I think I will have near 60000 on my fit by the end of next year.

by the end of the year most people will have lowered fits and you can probably buy them used for cheaper than the dealer

That's for the entire shock/spring assembly. The shock alone is $106.14 each for the front and $80.56 each for the rear.

Thanks for the info. I figure if my new springs blow my oem shocks at least the replacements won't be so expensive.

Think seriously about aftermarket shocks if you blow the stockers. T1R's are only a little bit more expensive, they're adjustable, and they're designed to work with lowering springs.

Thanks. Would you happen to know if the ride height can be adjusted with the T1R's?

No. They're just dampers, shock absorbers. They will change the way shocks are absorbed, end of line.

If you want to adjust ride height you have two choices.

1. Springs. A lot of them (truth be told, all of them) lower the car. Some of them lower the car to improve looks, some of them lower the car to improve handling, and some of them could care less about either.

2. Coilovers. These allow you to set ride height via moving the lower mounting point of the spring. See #1 for more information about what else they do.

Is there a T1R shock for the GE, or only for the GD Fit? Where does one find them?
