The dealer put on Bridgestone Potenzas. They seem pretty damn good so far.

yeah that is the stock tire that honda recommends for the hfp 16"" rim. Tire rack gave it OK reviews but the BFG's i want are MUCH better.

I like this car, but I'm not sure I'll keep it. The VW R32 is really, really tempting...

Which potenzas? There are many.
Post a picture of your Fit when you have time.

most likely RE750's. That's the stock tire Honda puts on the HFP's as far as I know unless you request something.

40 miles, about an hour each way.

I think it's the seat adjustment and my height. Never had this problem in a Honda before. All the way back, my legs are more comfortable, but I can just reach the steering wheel with my arms completely straight. Move it a notch up and my knees are cramped.

I'm only 6'3", so not quite freakishly tall.

I'm seriously considering calling the dealer up and asking if he can get me out of it while it's still under 300 miles.

My back felt like it was broken.

I went to the dealer, and they swapped me into a Civic Si sedan. Took a little hit for the drive-off-the-lot depreciation, but overall I'm much happier.

Wish I could've stayed in the Fit, but I didn't "fit" in it.

I'm running that same size tire on a +40mm offset rim, and the rubbing happens on the rear hard bumps only. Next time I have a free Saturday at the shop we are going to see if the rear camber is adjustable enough to clear the fender.

well the reason we are going with the 195's is because of the rubbing. I can see everyone is using the car differently and are having different problems so there will never be a clear solution to our problems.

Did the shop you used try the 205's on your car?

hey JD, Dave here........i just put on a new set of wheels with a +45 offset...no rubing at all now...and i ran it damn hard last night and today with 3 people in the car.....notice that tire rack was recomending +42 last year this time, but now mostly +45 is recomended..

i am sure there will be no rubbing when lowered ...c ya
