It's what I'm used to with Scosche being high quality, which is why I bought it over the Metra kit...

The hood deflector had good reviews from other members, which I then found out that the other members had fitting issues, just like mine, but they didn't know it.

The things I've purchased for my car had all been modified to fit 'properly'

so you returned it or are you still running it?

Lol are you talking about the one I have in the for sale section?? Wrong post lol.

And no I'm not running the Hood Damper at this time because I don't want to grind down my strut bar. However I saw someone else at the shop today getting the dampner with the same strut bar and they were going to grind it down.

Out of curiosity what strut bar do you have smatts?

Is there anyone else that is having problems with there strut bars? If there is it would be nice to know which bars work and which ones dont. Thanks in advance.

I am running the J's Racing front strut bar. Apparently the spoon, t1r and mugen bars will work with this damper with no issues.

Thanks for the quick response smatts. I have a Tanabe now but i havent installed it yet. Im questioning myself if i should or just sell it and wait for the T1R B-max bar to come out. Those are gonna be sick. I would hate to have to grind a cf bar down though. I hope that it will work with damper but until they are out i guess no one will know.

Had to shave off part of the mounting brackets for it to fit, since the molding was shifted over a little too far for it to mount flush...

meh

Hood Damper

I phoned AJ Racing earlier in the week to purchase one and was told that sales are "on hold" until delivery of a new bracket. They said to call back in a couple of weeks.

Any updates? I can read above and see that there is a new bracket needed in order to work but does anyone know what kind of time line we are on now?

Perfect, hope it's the kind that has a 90 degree bend, so it can use the same mounting holes as the hood

Here you go guys

With the new hinch bracket, there are no issues with J's Racing, T1R, Spoon and Mugen strut bar. The hood closed properly.

The hinch bracket cost quite a bit to make so the price will be raised a bit.

The hood dampers are here and the hinch bracket will be here in 2-3 weeks time.

Thanks
Ben
