CV Joint/Axle Shaft replacement

Has anyone replaced the CV joints or Axle shafts on a GD3? I have some clicking noise when I do sharp turns to the right at the left front wheel. From everything I'm reading it seems like this is about to fail. I also can't find the part online, is it a honda part only?

I'm kinda pissed, the car has 55k miles. I do a lot of curvy mountain driving but thats gonna be pricey if these have to get replaced every 50k miles.

Well found out that cv joints are included in the 60k drivetrain warranty so I'm gonna let the dealer worry about it.

I had a pretty severe drop on a 1981 VW diesel pickup and it ate through CVjoints like crazy as well at destroying the strut towers.. It had a 60bhp engine and weighed a fraction of what a Fit does... It did have a hell of a lot more low end torque than a Fit but none the less if your car has been dropped very low your CV joints won't last nearly as long as they would otherwise.

Anyone that has replaced one these on the fit know if I need to drain the fluid for sure? On my old crx if you just lifted one side of the car you didn't have to drain and only a few drips would come out. I'm wondering of this is the case for the fit. I am going to change the passenger side tomorrow and I will know for sure then. Hopefully this works for me and I won't have to drain or refill after.

Assuming I actually have time to get this done tomorrow I'll let everyone know how it works for me.

Finally got my cv axle replaced. I didn't have to drain my fluid. I jacked up the passenger side of the car. To pop the ball joint off I banged the knuckle where the ball joint connects with a hammer.
I had some trouble getting the nut off that holds the axle in so I went to a shop up the road and had them break it loose with an impact gun, then drove home(less than a mile) and got to work.
