Random vibrations around 45mph
... much like an out of balance tire... then it goes away. All the lugs are tight, all the wheels are balanced. Front steering is tight, I mean there is no slop when turning or going over bumps. There isn't any noise associated with the vibration.
Any ideas?

Had that problem on a previous car, a Camry, vibration on the highway at a certain speed, around 40 to 50 I think. Vibe went away if I went faster or slower than the problem range. Tires balanced, two wheel alignments (from different places) etc. Nothing helped. I finally replaced all the tires and the problem disappeared and never came back.
Replacing all the tires resolved a persistent vibration issue on my previous car, a Camry, which occurred at highway speeds between 40-50 mph despite balancing and alignments.

Had the same issue a while back
Check the front Ball joints and the hub. If you hear the sound from your right, the problem is in the left.
Or there was/ is something wrong with my hearting. lol.
replaced both sides and the issue went away

Thanks for the suggestions!
I removed the smallish 14" tires that I had on there ( from a 2008 standard Fit ) and installed some Mini cooper 16" wheels on there and the prob seems to have gone away. I've driven it several times now. The weird thing is, the 14" tires didn't always vibrate, just certain times which makes me wonder if it was something about the road I was on, or maybe ball joints and hub as mentioned? I don't know if that can be an intermittent fail or not. I guess time will tell.
I just want to get it fixed up before winter time so I don't have to mess with it.
