Gas consumption

So what are you all getting per tank?

So far 450km / 36L? tank on the first two fillups. Mixed driving. I drive like a grandpa and the woman drives mad for the morning rush.

Been using Shell 87 octane. Relatively flat terrain.

DX-base with AT.

I hope to get more out of the car. But it appears to be very close to the EnerGuide's ratings right now.

Went for my first fill-up the other day. Obviously, I've been on Dealership gas, which I assume is 87 octane. Basically did 235 kilometres on 19.8 litres. About 90% city driving with a lot of short trips. Driving like a grandma - easy acceleration, not going past posted speed limit. GTA west rush hour traffic. Driving a Sport AT using paddle-shifters 95% of the time, and upshifting at 2500rpm.

Last tank I got:

560kms, took 40L to fill up = 7.1 L/100kms.

Quite good for this time of the year I think. I do about 50/50 city/highway. I already have 28,000kms on my manual Fit Sport.

That's pretty good mileage for 50/50 city/hwy driving. I get anywhere from 6.8 L/100kms - 7.2 L/100kms so I do average about 7 L/100kms. Only difference is that I'm about 80% highway, 20% city. When the gas light comes on, it usually fills up about 33 litres.

LX, Auto.
Near 18,000 Kms.

interesting, im driving an auto LX as well and my readings and conditions are almost bang on with urs

usually i get between 440-530km b4 the low fuel light comes on at which point it would usually take for me 33-34 litres to fill

the best ive ever got was 38 or 39 mpg (US gallons) which is pretty good considering the epa ratings are going down due to new standards

Got about 440KM on the last tank, this time will try baselining from the gas light indicator. Having it run to empty is scary with these gas shortages here in Toronto.

Filled up to 36L a few days ago, I was shocked. I thought the tank was only 36L, I must have been running on fumes when I pulled into the gas station.

checked Honda Canada's website

Honda Canada

The fuel tank is 41L is size. So in theory if I pushed it to empty averaging about 12.5km per liter have about 5 liters left in the tank, I may be able to squeeze another ~60Kms. So about 500km / 41L. That's an alright reading.

8.2L per 100KM very close to 7.8L for AT for City driving.

Energuide rating is

City / Hwy
7.8 / 5.6 L per 100KM

To get this one must drive

525km city per 41L
732km hwy per 41L

normaly the low gas light comes on just befor 500 km. I was on a long trip last week averaging 100km/h on the hwy and I'm up to 550 and the light has not come on yet. Not bad.
