Holy shit, that's a first for me! Hopefully part defect and not poor build quality?

Sorry to hear about the problems. You might never buy another new Honda in North America.

Sorry dude.

This is why I've tried guiding my grandparents away from buying a GK to replace their Accord. (Which they bought at my cousin's request because they claimed their previous GE's rear seats were too cramped....they're 9 and 12 year old girls)

yah, the GK's rear seats have great footwell space for sure vs the GE.

but then again, my 08'GD and 12'GE has had zero problems. The 09 GE had the blower resistor for the hvac go bad, but that was repaired under warranty and fixed properly the first time.

the current gen accord sedans look real good. if my wife didn't need the cargo space for her bulky items i wouldve gotten the accord sedan sport for sure.

My Grandma HATES her Accord. Has few strange mystery noises coming from the engine bay and she's not comfortable in it.

I find the GD/GE to be plenty spacious, and I don't have headroom in the back of a GK.

Well I was at the local dealer yesterday getting my car looked at for my shaky axle which was entirely my fault (dropped passenger axle while installing front koni struts), and they offered to buy my GE. I flatly said "No, thanks. I love my GE. All but problems I hear from the new FIT." Lady said, "I know. I definitely feel you on that one." Besides there were no Fits at all on their lot GD, GE, GK.

Those are kinda bleh anyway. The CR (Sedans) and CT (Coupes) are a pretty nice setup for the Accord at this time. I wouldn't mind a manual '16 CR2 Sport personally.

Isn't it the same car just with ugly chrome eye brows?

Ahh... cause the current gen accord is suppose to be pretty darn good, especially the 'sport' trim... (?)

yah, i hear the 6MT is really nice on these Accords. but the problem is I think it has ANC activated. kinda works against you when you put a nice exhaust on the car. hahaha (i know you can probably deactivate it).

not a bad car for dads who were forced into family sedans.. lol

Mine didn't separate, but the glass would make clicking noises even when all the way up. When it was cracked a few inches, it'd make click noises too. The noise would come when driving and making turns, like it wasn't sitting in the track properly. I was finally able to get them to replace the whole window because there was also an air bubble in it. Very small but enough to be an annoyance. I was hoping with the replacement that it would fix the noise. Sure enough as soon as they replaced it, no more noise.

Honda at first wouldn't fix the clicking noise. Said they were aware but wouldn't actually do anything. Pissed me off. When I found the air bubble after, I made another appointment and got them to replace the window and the rear fender liner (bent down towards wheel). Not impressed with Honda quality control with the GK... So far the mechanicals have been fine, but I've only got 15k miles on it. We'll see as the miles turn over...

Dealer took care of it, this time replaced the rails, regulator, and glass.
They concluded that it was a factory defect and spoke to the engineers at American Honda who recommended everything to be replaced.

So far so good, will see how it holds up. I am happy that they replaced everything for me and even arranged a loaner.

so far no leaks from the new glass and rails, and wife appears to be happy with the car.

i did a quick wipe down on the interior this morning, did not notice any damage from them taking off the door panel so i am good. i dont check too closely on purpose on this car though cause each time i do, i find something.

So far no more issues to report on the GK.

Cleaned the inside glass and waterless washed my GE.

after reading good reviews, i ordered just the front set of the Husky floor liners for the wife's GK since i already have the rear factory all season floor mats. They are $99 shipped.

Will see how they do vs the Aries3D i run in my GE..

later this week i'm going to swap the GK to snows.

I have Huskys in my GK. I like them, but the passenger side seems to slide forward. Been meaning to try to stop that...

I chose them over the Weathertechs because they totally cover the dead "pedal"

hey thanks for the heads up on the passenger side. i too will see if there's some material i can sandwich between the liner and floor to prevent slippage.

My Mom has Husky in her Fiesta. I hate them, just so plastic/cheap feeling. That's what I like about the Aries relative to the other liners I've seen. They look good in a modern car.
