dogdamn mk1's sound sooooo good through my AKG's.
mk1 Rhodes piano that is.
haha luv the sound. unfortunately i never got a chance to own a real one.. but do have samples in my nord Piano3 which sound very close to the real thing minus the loud junky mechanical noises which i also luv to hear while playing.
im listening to pandora one right now and the audio is cleaner than free spotify.. while only 192kbps, i can tell vs max 160kpbs on spotify.
but then premium spotify streams at 320kbps..
so yet again another thing to consider..

yah, our community's HOA has a contractor come out to do our lawn care and snow removal. its not free, im paying for all of this through HOA fees which also includes all exterior repairs and misc stuff.
its to keep the community looking consistently the same throughout.
I'm painting my house this spring specifically to look less like every other house in the neighborhood haha.
Thinking a darkish grey with a BRIGHT door, either pink or yellow.
Pink door would be so dumb

yah, in my community it's all about consistency to keep the same theme going. i kinda like it that way. there is some color variation between the homes but they all follow the same color schemes. if you ever go to j-land you will immediately notice there is NO consistency in the homes in a neighborhood.. well, most of them at least. they are pretty much all random colors and shapes unless the builder was the same for one section of the street or something. it's rather kinda weird.
i think im going to head out and do some shoveling myself. first removing snow off the top of my GTI and GK using my snobrum.

there is so much tiny salt rocks on the barrel of the wheels.
at least these 19" OZ Hyper-GT's are just my winter set.
cant wait to put back the silver factory 19's.. they look so good on the car.

Decided to keep my Bose non-anc headphones. i realized i paid it using my hilton points so basically free to me.
ill have much more fun with my headphones listening to tunes vs free hotel room or watever.. *shakes head* the last thing i need right now is traveling on my time off. with all the traveling i do, my best vacations are spent in my garage car cave, basement RC cave, or my music room.
my wife and older kid are making us a xmas feast.
smells so good when i opened the door. and yah, i did clean up the R's fender arches to rid salt a moment ago.
have a merry christmas everyone!
hope santa brings you wat you want tonight..

headed out to the j-grocery store this am in the GK. there was still plenty of snow on the ground in some areas including the parking lot and the GK handled it like a champ with the blizzaks.
the steering wheel felt excessively light vs my GTI and R considering i run these cars in sport/race modes. anyway it was a worry free drive (and parking since i dont really care about dings on this car) and enjoyable.
i saw a lowered MT versa note on the way home and i kinda wished my GK was MT.. on snowy surface days like today, no need to go fast and that's when the Fit really shines...
now i kinda want a small low powered MT car for the winter. lol

alright, fired up my RC battery charger for the first time since like.. april? lol
just using nimh today since its more test driving at best if i can even get that far.
first off i need to take apart an old on-road damper set to extend the stroke since it will be on the truck.
will install new x-rings in the dampers. x-rings the way for leak free damping
guys should check out my tool box dedicated for RC. it's a full set but everything is small.
haha
craps, i just remembered i forgot to put my low torque electric driver on charge..

remembered i could extend the oil dampers using longer lower ball joints, so saved like $35.
mang these new sony's sound very good.
breaking them in right now. even without break-in these sound good.. shall have warmer sound after 10-12hrs of listening.

alright on the menu today.. doing some house chores this am and working on the RC's truck body later today.
no car action planned.
will check my work emails just to ensure nothing is going out of wack.. should only take a few min.
then rest of day relaxing while listening to tunes on my new headphones, doing comparisons with my other headphones.
when i showed my wife my new headphones she was like again.. 'how many ears do you have again, ken-san?'
haha
well my wife's no centipede either..

guys, no need to pm me for questions. just post here. we talk about all sorts of things on my blog and price and watever is no secret. i will share with you.
so to answer a few that were asking about my new headphones..
this is the Sony's i got. WH1000XMS. they go for about $350 on amazon, but i got mine on sale at $289 + tax minus $20 discount.
and you can download the sony connect app from the appstore to program your headphones, similar to the Bose connect app but has a ton more features.
the headphones sound good out of the box, but i like it with a touch more bass so i bumped the bass +3 and 16kHz +1 on the EQ. this setting has slightly less bass vs my Bose QC35's. QC35's have a bit too much boomy bass for the music i listen to and im no bass head so.. (sony's bass goes up to +10 for you bass heads). once you program your Sony, no need to run the app anymore. it's stored in the headphones like how the QC35's store your settings into its headphones.
makes my other BT headphones seem ancient.. wat no app to program? wtf?! kinda.
im so glad sony is back in the game for consumer audio. at one point in time they were the king of all portable audio players with their walkmans. they only have a tiny fraction of the market share right now, but at least at the very top of their game for anc headphones.

Happy Christmas (belatedly) guys!
Pretty solid gift haul here, XBOX One S + Forza Motorsport 7, bunch of coffee table books (I honestly have a problem, I have seven nice coffee table books, one table) and some jack stands, which will all come in handy.
Hopefully buying a Christmas gift for myself/the AP1 this Friday, we'll see how that goes.
