oh yah, i decided to return that Bose without noise cancellation i was using at work.. with the new office comes new neighbors and one of the staff from another department has a super faking ANNOYING voice and when she gets mad on the phone. holy fak i want to place those large trash bins over her head to quiet her down. lol

so going to test my Bose QC35's today and see how it goes. if still no good, will bring my Sony's and see. lol so funny
its not but it is.

yeah that type-r is completely level with the drop so the rear fender must be lower than the front.

GAFIIT - I've used both the metra and scoshe in previous cars and didnt have an issue with fitment. In fact the Civic right now is using the metra. I guess my complaint would be that the paint on the trim doesnt match 100%. More like 95% and you'd have to stare to notice. In my GE8 I was using the Honda Navigation trim so it matched perfectly. Does the GD have steering wheel controls?

Kenchan- sucks to hear about your neighbor at work. Hope your active noise canceling headphones help.

Mike410b - I remeasured my garage...its 14 x 19....LOL. So it MBN (look at me using fancy acronyms) to have that 14 x 20.

Today is a relaxing day. Hopefully sell some RC parts. Play some games. Clean up around the house. Considered going to the shooting range today but may just have to do that some other day as Im not prepped at all LOL.

Thanks! No steering wheel controls on the GD. It's about as basic of a vehicle that you can get. My '80's Fords really did have more features.

I've been looking for a double din factory dash trim for the GD, but it doesn't appear that one was offered in any market. Guess I will just pick up the Scosche or Metra based on price at the time I buy a head unit.

14x19? I'm sorry for your tight confines

Left work early yesterday because I was feeling sick.

Took today off too while I was at it. New guy got hired two months ago & felt it would be cool to come into the office sick as a dog & passed the illness on to me. Hate that. If you're sick, stay home, you don't look like a superhero coming in sick & forcing everyone to waste their days off as a result. I won't do the same to others. Hoping I'm back at 100% by Monday.

Dang hope you feel better Mike410b. I agree wholeheartedly about the "dont be a hero". Coming to work sick, you'll only be so productive....then you'll affect the productivity of others by potentially getting them sick. Sometimes its a pride thing though..."Nah Im good man *cough cough hack hack*." I'd have to admit I've done that once or twice long ago.

sorry to hear mike, get well soon!

shinjari- thanks, i'm running the Bose QC35's and it is a clear winner for the office. as soon as i have the refund for the non ANC Bose, going to order my second one. i don't want to have to keep going back and forth between the unit i have for the music room and the one i bring to the office.

I think it is the way some folks are raised, so definitely pride in that case.

My dad always hated taking work off for an illness, but if he was appropriately ill, always did so. To be honest I don't know if I've ever seen my mom take off a day for an illness. Stuff is wild.

so i tired carplay on my GTI running iOS11.2.1.. the screen went completely black when i plugged in my iphone7 so i was like WTF.. but then it turned on and was pleasantly surprised it worked fine.

but wat pissed me off was i was distracted by the carplay while coming out of the parking structure and scraped the GTI's lip a little bit. thought i gave it enough angle coming out, but apparently not due to lower tire psi from the low temps. oh well, shit happens a lot on this car. lol

dafaq mang.. still sitting at -5F this am..was supposed to be at 20F by today. its the new norm now so i think im going to buy thicker clothes and stuff from now on when im out buying new winter gear.

so i updated both my iPhone7's and iPod touch 6th with iOS11.2.1. so far it seems to be working fine. there is some slight lag that wasnt there before but its not like a huge inconvenience. i mean i could blink and wont notice it. will watch how the battery life is today.

so on the menu today.. since its so frikken cold im going to run a few errands in the GK but mainly going to stay inside. was thinking about heading out to the stores to buy some large plastic storage containers to store my old CD's.. i dont listen to them any more since i ripped them all to mp3 and want to get it out of the study room upstairs. my older kids been wanting to use it as his art room. he recently won some regional art competition for his class. also took 2nd place in the state contest.

Today should be interesting!

I have my floor jack, jack stands, drain pans, and half the tools I own in the trunk of the Lincoln.

Headed over to a friends house to take the cylinder head off of his 2009 GE Fit. It ejected a spark plug for the second time this week (different cylinder) and this time it took the threads with it.

I'm going to take the head off so he can take it to a machine shop to have the inserts and a valve job done the right way.

Never pulled the head on a Honda before. It looks like a lot more work than the simple OHV domestic engines that I'm more used to. Looks harder than the Nissan QR25 I did also. Hope to get it done in one afternoon, but I'm not quick and he doesn't even change his own oil.

I find it pathetic that Honda has the problem in such HUGE numbers.

shinjari- i’m jelly you get to wash your car! yah i should recycle those useless plastic but nostalgic value with CD’s. haha

good luck on the project GAFIT!

ordered my second Bose QC35’s this time in silver. this will be used at the office.
while i luv the sony’s it can’t pair two devices at the same time (which is fine at home) and i run my ipad and iphone at the office so it’d be a hassle reconnecting manually each time. so went with the Bose this time.

saw the new accord and while it might look okay for a normal folk who already gave up on life, u can definitely tell honda made some cheap choices on the body design. like the exhaust outlet area on the rear bumper. they have those faux vent trims right above the exhaust outlet which they could’ve used to make cut outs for both dual and single outlets cars but no.. using a bath tub faucet design below the trim. so sad.

and that’s just one of many..

I'd drive the new Accord.

I daily a stock Honda Fit, I just want to blend when I'm not in the AP1 haha

That said, electric car, S3 or Civic Type are firmly in the lead for my next daily.

Hello folks. Nice sunny day here at the old folks home although it is hella cold. Supposed to warm up next week so if all goes well both our daily drivers will go through the touch-less wash. I need to get the salt rinsed off.

Ken congrats to your son! Make him his art room, the world needs more artistic people. Maybe he can do an art installation using those CDs.

Sorry you dinged the lip on your GTI. I will spare you my thoughts on electronic devices & driving. ;-)

Good luck GAFIT. Honda stuff is fairly easy to work on.

Nice pick up on the Bose headset Kenchan, sucks about the scratch.

Mike410b, i saw a preowned championship white type-r at a local Toyota dealership. only a cool $42k lol.
