but the venturi filter is a funnel type with the front open so it's probably not going to net me much of a difference.

why i want to get the HKS is for the larger tubing.

Oh, yah, those tubes are kinda small. I wonder how the arc ones are? I like that one because it's chambered.

tanuki- with the JWT if you used a larger tube you're going to need to remap the
ECU. the filter itself is like a dyson. lol watever that means. it is very
efficient.

wat i want is a shorter tube but larger diameter. there's barely any clearance on
the JWT and it rubs the radiator hose unless you install it a certain way. the HKS
has shorter tubing but larger in diameter overall...that's all.

the arc design looks more inline with the stock box, actually. it's probably just
has a more efficient filter inside. kinda like Stillen's Gen2 design but better sealed...
Gen2 shows no gains on the Z. their Gen3 (long tube) shows gains but it eats up
the a/c line...lol

in other news...
i wired up the LED into the GE's ignition. not bad, it's not a full circle since i only
used one standard LED without tubing, but made a light guide inside using aluminum
tape. hahahaha.

Also ordered up more wire looms... man, all of a sudden was out of everything. but
i got all my taps/connectors/ties so im pretty much replenished.

So today we went to the annual offroading event in the FitS.

Well, just visited the local pumpkin farm. went for the zoo, straw maze for the kids, pigs race, roasted corn, some shopping, etc. etc.

This year (knowing that their side entrace eats away Fit's little airdam on the lip) I went in from the front entrance and tried to stay as much on the grass. Still tons of dips and bumps...+ they have no talent coordinating traffic. It was out of control. Lol but my FitS came home with no damage and almost no sign of mud on the car.

didnt get a chance to wash the GE today... too busy. i think i might just do
the Griot's SprayOn CarWash on the front, use alcohol to remove wax, and
then touchup. then do a full wash later on.

motored my Z this am and was a good drive... about 50miles shy of 1k miles but
i floored it in 2nd from about 30mph. in an instant i was at speed limit (55mph).
much faster response than my G for sure...

I did a full detail on my Fit on Saturday, it took me 4 hours and I am still *sore* .... my car was FILTHY and the clay dragged and dragged until I thought I would go MAD! It's still not perfect and I think the clay I used needs to be thrown away because it's so dirty....I washed, clayed, and then waxed....what a TON of work, even for a small car...next time I'm hiring it done....

hahaha, good job, juliane! yah, claying and waxing does take some effort.

usually i use about a half dollar coin sized clay and toss it after
the session. depending on how dirty the car is, i use 2-3
chunks.

the hell... there's still mosquito's flying around... thought they were dead from the cold we had.

i was sitting here in front of my computer and heard some high pitched squeal noise...thought it was one of my sons saying something while sleeping... i hear it again and it's like the pitch is a lot higher than my kids' voices. so i look up and sure enough a large mosquito.

smashed the mofo with the tirerack winter catalog. hahahaha

^ now that's some funny stuff right there! Yeah, my kids used to sound like mozzies when they were young too, now they are like growling lions, they make the china rattle in the cabinets! Wait until they hit puberty and one day they sound like Henry Kissinger and the next, back up into soprano range! It's hilarious!

hahaha. that's funny.

yah, they're going to say something like a REAL TOUGH GUY and crack their voice like they got kicked in the balls. hahaha.

so today went by in a flash once again. had a confcall starting at 6:45am with denmark, canada, japan, and me (from home) and ended 2hrs later... was ready to head to work then got another call from japan. guys, you should catch the last train before it goes. lol

then was about to leave for work, then another call came in....then was ready to leave and another call came from nature.

then got to work in my FitS and like moments later it was time to go home again. lol

major headache again today... physical headache , not work headache as in pita but no pain. this one is painful.

not much car things going on, just came to work hoping for a
quick get away at 5pm. lots of rain and drizzle it's messy
outside.

saw a white GE driving down the road. looked great...kinda
reminded me of my car. hahahahaha . wife's asking me
to remove the cargo cover on the GE and tint the windows.

i gave her the option in the beginning whether she wants tint
or cargo cover... thinking it was the pullup type like my GD,
she asked for the cover. now it just gets into the way. hahaha.

so will be selliing the GE cover in a couple of weeks to locals.
not going to ship that huge thing.

so with all this rainage and bad weather coming up again... im
feeling bad for the wife. reason is our dd's are parked outdoors.

im fine with cause hell, my hobby cars are in the garage and
so it's my fault, but for the wife it's just a inconvenience. she
has never complained about it and insists that i keep the garage
for my toys.

when it's raining i tell her to call me from the driveway so that
i can bring out the hugegangeous golf umbrella to cover her
and the kids and her stuff, but she doesnt all the time.
like yesterday, she got home kinda late with a client's desk top
to fix and she was hustling in the rain. as soon as i saw that
i grabbed the umberlla and ran outside to help.

she says it's the tought that counts that im not taking anything
for granted... but man, i really wish sometimes i could give her
some space in the garage. which would mean my G would
need to live outside.

but then my G would melt in the rain so that wont work...

i think i need to start thinking about a nice dd to
replace the FitS and trade in the G.
