weird springy type sound???

i've been noticing more and more that whenever i hit a pothole theres this weird springy feeling and sound coming towards the front right and thats every time i hit potholes and going around 30 mph

then we had black ice couple weeks ago and i put on my brakes earlier than normal driving and my car slipped a little bit and the same sound/feeling happened

any ideas on what it could be??

From your description, it seems like your ABS is kicking in. That's normal.

yeh, its a small and short vibration

road head
just kidding, but mostly from just not pay attention to the road and misjudging how deep the potholes are

Hi Eric,
I agree, it's the ABS but ONLY IF it happens strictly under braking.

Are you sure it's not just the sound of the shocks' valve-actuation from hitting potholes at.. Why are you hitting potholes?

Sometimes potholes just happen. I drove around 150 miles today and must have hit like 10 potholes on the highways around NYC. Some either I just didn't see or will hit a wall/another car if I tried to avoid.

Hope everything is OK with my wheels/shocks/whatever. NYC roads suck.

i hear NYC are one of the worst road conditions in the country, they don't do alot of maintainence work because it'll just make a mess of traffic
