Brake pedal "clicking" sound and ABS system
Hello guys,
I really don't know if you guys have the same problem as me. When I apply my foot on the brake pedal everytime, and I can hear one clicking sound. It's very annoying because it's very noticeable when I step on the pedal. I brought my car back to the dealership, and the "service consultant" explained to me that it's because something related to the brake light switch and won't be able to fix it for me.
Also, have you guys notice that the ABS on 2008 model is very sensitive? When I'm trying to stop the car from above 40km/h, and it goes over on an unbalanced area. I can hear the ABS is started to lock up and the system is vibrating.

acutally since running the EnduraTech's with soft spring rates, i have
yet to get any ABS noise on dry surface. on occasion when i
make fast stops in the rain i get it, but even that is rare.
the abs noise has direct relationship to the suspension setting and alignment.

The consultant told me that the ABS system for Honda/Acura 07/08 models had changed, and that's why it's more sensitive. I'm okay with the ABS thing but I'm getting so annoying of the little "clicking" sound everytime I press the pedal.

I noticed when I brake at very slow speeds, like while turning into a parking spot, the ABS will activate. It's not every time, and it doesn't bug me too much, as long as when I have to slam on the brakes the ABS works then too, I'm cool with it.

better tires? he probably forgot to do that.

I think this is how the ABS works on the newest model. I don't mind as long as it works at a right time.

No, he didn't tell me that. Did you mean that if I change a better tires, I will get less noise from the ABS when the system is locked up?
#9
the tires do more of the work than asking for the ABS's help.
so yes, better grippier tires will raise the threshold before ABS needs to
kick in.
not sure about that clicking noise though... mine does not make any
audible clicking noise. on the AT's you're hearing the solenoid inside
the shifter..

I have to learn to deal with it. I went to my own auto bodyshop and the "clicking" sound it's about the brake switch for the braking light. So, there's no way to fix it. I probably will just turn on the stereo system.
