2 gd both were gray

 

Just as an experiment, I counted the Fits and Priuses I saw going northbound as I was rolling southbound down the 1 near Monterey.

7 Fits, 12 Priuses. That was over approx 7 miles. These cars are really, really common these days.

 

I saw another completely stock black '09 Sport at a red light and I hollered, "Nice car!". He hollered back, "I like what you've done to yours too!"

 

Last Wednesday I seen a VBP GD sport with blue Rotas pass while I was waiting on my order at Sonic.

 

Today, I seen 1 SSM GE Sport on the way to college. Later on, as I went to Walmart I was tailed by a TW GE Sport and passed a MR GD Sport with flames (vinyl I hope) on the front driven by a older guy. When I walked out of Walmart, I seen a SSM GD Base with flat black hubcaps in the parking lot.

 

1 orange at my workplace parking lot, 1 white going back to work from lunch, a whole crapload at the Honda dealership next to my work, haha

 

1 Crimson Cardnal!! We met up on one of his Famous road trips in his Silver High Tech Steed. We went to "The Boarder Station" 1/2 of it's in VA and 1/2 is in NC. And all the BBQ sandwiches are in us hehe. Man what a Great FF'er we had a great visit and of Course checked out eachothers Fits!! He has the Garman w/ the add on Gauges WOW! how nice is that. It gives about the same info as the Scangauge but w/ analog read outs we can read on the fly. Thanks Chuck for a wonderful and relaxing afternoon.

I seen mostly GD Sports and one CBP GE Base today. I seen a BOM with visors, a NHBP, and a SSM; all of which were GD Sports.

 

Saw 1 white GE and a silver/grey GD

 

2-3 normally sometimes 4. A mix of GD's and GE's

none. on average i see about 2 a week, but the again i don't drive much. Mainly just drive to work and back, sometimes walmart. lol

This thread has resurfaced, so I figure it is as good a place as any to post my results. November 2010, there was discussion about the popularity of Fit colors and the new colors for 2011. Since I'd been waiting for the 2011s to arrive on dealer lots for far too many months, I decided to make a new driving game of the colors of Fits I saw on the road. Forty days of data later...

I've spied 281 Fits on my commute between Oakland and San Francisco plus errands to Berkeley, Albany, etc. I see an average of 7 per day; the biggest count was Christmas Eve when I drove to Oregon, with a total of 21 that day. The color distribution in my neck of the Bay Area:
Silver - 70
Black - 57
Bright blue - 48
Tidewater - 27
Blackberry - 23
Orange - 21
White - 18
Red - 16
Polished metal metallic - 1

My spastic ADD brain very much liked this data collecting.

 

Hmm. No Lunar Mist Metallic? Its a silverish-green color only available for the 2007s which was replaced by the similar Tidewater Blue in 2008.

 

I bought my car July 14 2006 and only saw 2 in the first year and a half... The most I have seen in one day was five on the 4th of July holiday and altogether I doubt that I have seen a total of over 100... All have been completely stock in appearance except for 5 owned by local Fit Freaks that live within 200 miles of me and 1 in Dallas and another with huge chrome wheels and stock suspension passing through town.

 

I've only been paying attention to the Fit since '09 - didn't know of that variation. I probably saw a couple of the Lunar Mist ones but lumped them into silver; I do recall scratching my head at the shade of some of the silver ones. Like earlier this week, I saw a Fit and made the mental note, "silver" -- but it wasn't until I saw clean paint under some hand prints that put the color under the "orange" column.

 

damn, are the fits that rare there? i can see as many as 30 a day w/o even trying to lookout for them!

 

I have never seen a LMM Fit. I hope to see one some day. I think they are a myth like unicorns and leprechauns.

 

LOL--I have seen every color avaialble in the US except for Lunar Mist and the new 2011 colors of Alabaster, Gunmetal & Celestial Blue. I still drool when I see BBP

In town, I may see 2-3 a day, traveling to Denver, I may see 6 or 7. Milano Red seems to be the rarest color around here.

 

5 or 6. just too many out here.
