08 Fit Auxillary plug
The Aux In on the Fit dash really begs for a 90 degree connector, to keep it from sticking straight (duh!) out.
I bought a couple different lengths of these;
3' ft 3.5mm 1/8" Gold Right Angle Stereo Audio Cable - eBay (item 230292121690 end time Sep-29-08 18:53:17 PDT)
to connect to the audio output of my GPS receiver, which also plays mp3 music and XM Radio.
IfTheFoo; On this seemingly friendlier thread, I think I can mention I am in Yavapai County, West of Prescott. I make frequent trips to The Valley, even stopping at The Billett occasionally. Cheers!

Props, man. New here to phx but I'll check out the B - Cheers back 2ya!
But, back to topic, a 90 degree would make a lotta sense.
A friend in South Scottsdale has a Road King and my borrowed(?) StreetPilot, and the 90 degree cord would be perfect. Now that the temp is under 100, I can ride down to test it!
Every vehicle should have an Aux input.
I had to change the stereo in my F-250 to get one.
Come to think of it, give me a line-in, and skip the radio!

Yes, I think there must be something either wrong with the AUX post or the cable itself. After lots of jiggling with the cable near the AUX jack and after hearing lots of static, I could finally hear music, but the music comes through on an erratic basis. Any movement on the iPod or on the cable around the jack creates distortion and static, and the music fades in and out.
I'll get this checked out.
Thanks.

Is your iPod using a case that covers the area around the jack? The case might be leaving enough of an opening for the normal iPod earphones to jack in, but for the aux cable, I have to either press the connector into the iPod jack really tightly, or move that part of the case away (mine's a soft silicone cover 1 or 2 mm thick).
