Anybody NOT like keyless entry?

first thing you do is open it up and dry it. the lithium battery will
short circuit if you dont. just one little screw and pry open at the slot.

keyless entry rocks! i dont like those fingerprint sensors they have on
some JDM cars. why touch the car when you dont need to?

My '08 re-locks itself if I unlock it with the remote and not open the door after a few minutes. I actually love that feature. I am also in the habit of taking my keys with me whenever I exit the car - no matter where I am or what I am doing.

I would like to think there is a safety feature built-in to guard against locking the keyless remote inside the vehicle. Don't know for sure though.

For '09, it's 30 seconds to re-lock.

So yes, the keyless entry is on the vehicle key. What makes it "keyless" is the clicker on it, so the key does not have to go into the door lock.
But only if keyless entry came with the car. If you add on the OEM keyless entry to a base model, for instance, the 'clicker' is a separate piece.

On topic: No, I've never accidently unlocked the car with the keyless entry.

I have a "true" keyless entry in my Prius. The keys are always in my pocket and I just push a start button to start the car. To open the doors, I just hold on to the door handle and the car will unlock by itself.

It will not lock the car if you leave the key inside the vehicle. It will just beeeeeeeep and not lock the car. Somehow, the car senses that the key is inside the vehicle.

The keyless entry on my 09 Fit sport doesn't do $hit.
