Man, that Jazz was riced out.

Looks like it held up well though. I am curious about the actual collision though, like speed and what did the car hit.

Amazing. The car did exactly what it was designed to do - sacrifice itself, in order to save the passengers.

Way to go, Honda.

What about the SPEED? If the car was hit from both sides by cars going 50 miles an hour, then that's astounding, but if that damage came from a 15mph little bump, then... we're all gonna die.

Speed of the 1st impact was about 130-140km/hr from the rear.
The 2nd frontal impact was after it rebounded from the 1st and spun.
2nd impact would have been around 90-110km/hr.

Airbags are not armed unless use of the seatbelt in that seat position is detected. If you don't wear your belt you won't be saved by a SRS (secondary restraint system) airbag in an accident. Airbags deployed from frontal impact not rear.

Held up better than I would have thought.
Dammit.., I wonder if I patent the ejection seat in automobiles...,would that idea be far fetched? Just don't crash with any overhang of any sort.

Naw, the ejection seat would throw you 500 feet in the air, and then the chute would fail to open......

I can't read the story behind the pics...but how fast was the pictured car going in the 1st impact?

Usually, all modern cars are not supposed to survive wrecks against a fixed soild object beyond 40 mph (that's not a pole). The theory is that in most wrecks you're on the brakes before impact. And usually break your right foot in doing so...
