As a follow up to GDKaos, my wife decided "we" wanted the Fit. She loves it and is 73 years old.

82, I have owned around 100 different cars, I'll not try listing them here. My previous Hondas were a 79 Accord and 79 Civic Hb. In addition to cars I have probably owned
around 25 motorcycles and 10-12 racing go karts.

Man, you are my new hero... I have owned as many motorcycles as you have but I won't be around long enough to match your other numbers.

I don't even have a Fit yet, am a Fit-owner wanna-be, hoping/planning to get a 2012 Silver Sport MT later this year. I am 61 YO and currently drive a 2000 Hyundai Elantra. I come to FitFreak to dream and drool. Have learned a lot here too.

freaking awesome! but two questions 1: if only two hondas and clear back in the early 80's what brought you back to a new fit?
2: any pics of the 79's, did you buy them new? (sh*t thats three)

Hi Vtec, The Hyundai has been a good car but I have always wanted a Honda. I view it as a "step up" for me--probably silly, but the Fit is just plain awesome! The "fun to drive" factor really got my attention, and the more I learned the more I wanted one.

I'll have owned my Fit 5 years in 9 days and it is still a lot of fun to drive.... I am pretty sure I am the oldest person driving one around here and that it is the only Honda in the county that is supercharged.... I'll be drawing my Social Security retirement money next year.
