Just joined forum and thought this would be a good place to introduce myself.
I'm 58.

1969 Datsun 510 - poor man's BMW
1969 - Austin Healy Sprite - Best mistake I ever made - fun to drive, a pain to maintain
1966 Chevy II
1970 AMC Hornet - I know why AMC went under
197? Plymouth Champ - Manual with sport and econ modes kinda neat
1981 Honda Accord - the 1st gen Accord was actually smaller and less powerful then the Fit
198? VW Rabbit Pickup diesel engine - one of the 2 worst diesels ever - but 40 mpg city
1989 Toyota Tercel EZ - almost free tansportation for a long time. These don't die, they just rust away
2010 Honda Fit Sport

All used except the Fit. lol

I'm 23 and this is my very first post! This is my first Honda, as well as brand new car, and I love everything about it! I traded up from a '01 Ford Ranger. R.I.P. La Blanca! Still working on a name for my little fit

WelcomeWelcome

PoliceCallBox - 69' Datsun 510 hard to imagine they also had the 240Z. Used to call that the poor man's Ferrari... they all rusted to beat the band.

lilcrunkie - I'm thinkin' lil_FIT

That's an impressive list of vehicles you had previously driven there gr8ge8 and being a previous owner of two Subarus, what caused you to switch to FIT? What do you like about the FIT that Subaru does not have and vice-versa?

If you have a chance to turn back the clock, would you stick with your decision to go for the FIT again?

The reason I asked is because I was deciding between a Subaru and FIT and finally decided on the FIT. As I've never driven or owned a Subaru before, I hope I had made the right choice to go for the FIT

Thanks

Well, to be honest, originally I didn't see myself in a Honda Fit. I acquired a reckless driving in 2008 with my Mustang GT. When that occured, I lost my license for 6 months, and found out my insurance would more than double! I always wanted a STi, and the only way I would be able to afford insurance was an older one; which were never here. So, I had one imported, but after finding out the registration problems, I picked up the RS for a STi motor swap. It was lots of fun! But the car was old, and started having expected problems with age(175k on body, 100k on turbo motor), and with the all wheel drive the gas mileage was on par with the V8 i previously owned. I wanted a VW GTI badly, but with the insurance premium, I would have been broke. My brother, a Civic Si owner, coaxed me into looking at Fits, and ever since the test drive I loved it! Yes, it is lacking power(I am waiting for a KWSC kit hehe), but the steering gives much more feedback than the Subaru's and without the awd I average 15 mpg more, while driving a much more solid feeling car. The quality is much better inside and out on the Fit, and I am very happy that I gave the Fit a try, because I love it!

Yet another 23 year old, just bought a new '10 Fit Sport in BBP two weeks ago, and I'm loving it so far. My lineup is much more boring than everyone else's though.

'99 Ford Taurus. Had for 5-6 years, got terrible gas mileage, had to fix something big at least once a year, and was constantly concerned the engine would explode. Hoping to avoid those problems with the Fit, as well as doing some light mods along the way.
