I'm 49 and with the FIT, I need not buy a passport ix top of the line radar detector. As I've got speeding tickets for my previous Honda Accord, I bought and returned $600 radar detector after trading in my Accord and getting the FIT.

I don't need the detector for the FIT as its engine will whine if I start to speed... like a built in radar prevention system Save me $600

You have much more sensitive hearing than I do.. On my GD-3 with manual transmission there is a lot of noise between 3000 and 4000 RPM but above or below is relatively pleasant. When I got my car I couldn't hear the engine running with the AC on and was constantly stalling or chirping the tires when leaving a stoplight.... It was very humiliating but chunking the stock muffler with a glass pack solved my problem.... Old age and exposure to loud noises when younger does a number on hearing.

63 here going on 17 and driving the fit like the Datsun 510 of 40+ years ago. No contest the Fit is more cozy, versatile and agile by far right off the lots.

Yes it would be, my youngest son picked one up in late High School. We painted it a few years ago & he has been working on it when he has time & $ since. His build thread is at:
[URL="http://http://community.ratsun.net/topic/25893-my-build-thread-pic-heavy/page__p__372923#entry372923[/URL]

Says he will never sell it. I like to think my stories of our old 510 got him started down this road but that's probably self delusion.

I had a new one in 1970. That thing was quick. Rusted well too. Ex got it and then it was in garage often for repairs.

Oh Yeah! They were good rusters for sure. Like with the civics CRX above, you gather a couple non runners, or parts from several and try to assemble one complete vehicle. We (well the younger folks on FF) may be doing the same thing with the Fit in 30 years.
Maybe I should put my 07 up on blocks with the 35,000 mi it has now and just store it in the back of my garage for the great grandchildren. In 40 yrs maybe with inflation it rolls across Barrett Jackson's for a quarter million. Of course vehicles then will probably be powered by algae or maybe recycled cell phones & chargers and gas powered cars may be illegal except in private collections. ITIALOL not sure though.
