I foresee one of these in your future: compass temperature rearview mirror - Google Product Search

Last Friday bought a '95 Chevy 1500 W/T, 4.3, 5 speed, 2WD. Still have my Fit and wife's Accord.

Anyone want to buy a ladder rack toolbox cap?

23. I've been driving Honda's since the day I got my license (18), but did drive a VW Golf for a couple of years (which was also great!).

36.

This is also my first Honda, and my second Japanese car, though that was a used 80s Toyota I had in college in the 90s.

I also rarely see Fits driven by 1) males 2) under 50. You also do not see a lot of the Sport model around here. The most popular one seems to be the BSP base.

I had originally wanted white, they couldn't (wouldn't) get one, so I got silver.

I'd say sport models outweigh base by 10:1 or more here. Maybe it's the snow? One thing is for sure - the demographics for these are the same across the country.

I don't know, but if somebody decided to add up the age of all the posters for this thread, you'll come up with an average age, my guess is about 35 yrs old. I bet I'm within 5 yrs, though. Anybody else want to guess or add them up and tell for real, the average age of posters on this thread?

40 - I've recently purchased an '07 Fit Sport for better fuel economy when driving around town. I've lowered it. Different 17" wheels/tires coming this week, as well as a stainless muffler/tip, JDM LED taillights, and tinting the windows this weekend.

I've owned way too many cars to list. Recently sold my '87 Buick Grand National.

The cars I currently own:
2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV
1969 Camaro Z/28
1965 El Camino
1993 Toyota Truck

My ageometer recently rolled over to 50.

'72 Olds Cutlass Supreme
'78 Civic (bought used in '83, swore I'd never get another Honda after a year of owning it)
'68 Beetle
'72 Beetle
'84 VW GTI
'85 VW GTI
'92 F-150 (bought new, C4C'd to get the Fit )
'95 Saturn SC2 (almost as bad as the '78 Civic)
'98 Contour SVT (really fun car, 'till my ex totaled it )

Ok, added up, if I got it right, the ages total 2896

Not counting this post, there are 114 posts in the thread

29 posts were replies without ages.

2896 / 85 = 34.07

Nice guess at 35

Mom (who is 55) loved my Fit so much on her visit out here last December that she bought her own... she only had 4000 or so miles on her '09 Civic at the time!

She had a VW Bug when she was in college, and said that the Fit brings back memories of the bug.

I am another person that drove Beetles starting 40 years ago and there is a kinship between them and the Fit...

I drove a '67 Beetle in 1968-69 and a '71 in 1973-79 and I'm having trouble seeing a kinship.

VW gas tank over legs - FIT gas tank under butt
VW no heat+fumes - FIT A/C heat and a blower
VW 54HP - FIT 117HP
VW air-cooled rear engine - FIT traverse front-wheel drive water cooled
VW 2 door - FIT 5 door

Don't get me wrong, my Beetles were a few of the best cars I drove.

VW and FIT - Basic transportation at an affordable price, and given that this is the 21st Century this might be the only - and most relevant - comparison.

So yeah - I now see it too

Do I have the record? I'm 75 (yea that's right - still walking and talking almost like a regular person). Waiting anxiously for the 2011's. Hope that a six speed M/T will be available.
