Age of FIT owners in here?
#63
I also "Fit" the demographic at 57. Prior car was a more age-appropriate Camry, which I finally tired of at 210,000 boring miles. I gave it to my kid.
This is my first Honda since the 1968 CB175 that I rode to college.
Current fleet:
2010 Honda Fit M/T
2005 Toyota Tundra 4x4
1990 Yamaha TW200 dual sport
1969 VW Karmann Ghia
1967 Chevrolet Corvair powered homebuilt airplane

Traded 95 Plymouth Voyager with 194,000 miles with Cash for Clunkers for 09 Base Silver Metalic. I love this car! On the interstate, if I stay around 70 mph, it gets over 40 mpg. In the city 29-33.
I've added the center armrest, remote keys, accord horn, mesh grill,
floor mats, and rear bumper protector.

I've only personally owned two cars in my life, but I'll include parents cars I drove before buying, plus my wife's car
Current:
'07 Fit Sport
'02 Accord EX V6 (wifey's)
Past:
'89 Corsica LT (Got it to 200K, but parts were just falling off of it by then)
Parents cars that I drove:
'74 Impala (loved that car)
'85 Dodge Aries (always amazed at how different my 109 horse Fit feels from that 99 horse bucket)
And will soon add a used pick-em-up to haul all the yard waste to the dump, etc.

As I'm pretty sure I mentioned in another thread, I'm 58. I wanted the Fit for size, economy, ability to haul band gear (I still play guitar and sing in a rock band), Honda's reputation for reliability, and because a test drive showed me it was a blast to drive.
cars I've owned:
1970 Buick Skylark coupe (bought used in '74)
1979 Dodge Omni 024
1984 Dodge Shelby Charger
1992 Dodge Shadow ES
1996 Plymouth Neon Sport Coupe
2002 Dodge Neon SXT sedan
2009 Honda Fit Sport MT
Bikes (only counting street bikes here):
1981 Yamaha "Exciter" 250 (not very exciting)
1981 Yamaha Seca 550
1982 Yamaha Seca 650 (bought NOS in 1985)
1989 Harley-Davidson Sportster
1994 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Special (still have after nearly 17 years and 156,000 miles)
Not really that many vehicles spread over 36 years.

31, My car 2007 Milano Red AT Sport Fit.
Previous "cars"
1981/82? Oldsmobile station wagon, I was told it was originally a diesel engine. Typical high school beast car, once put 19 people in it to go watch fireworks.
1988ish? Ford Thunderbird. It was fun for a couple of years and then started to fall apart quick.
199? Chevy Astro Minivan. Ah the college van, it was very useful at art school, doing roadie work, & helping friends move. The dash lights died and I learned to follow the speed limit by touch. The cassette deck crapped out & I had no money so the "stereo" was a disc man with the cassette adapter ducked taped into an old boom box on the floor. Slept in it more than a few times, it had a red plushy fuzzy interior. The suspension was crap, but damn that was a great van. I want a VW bus some day.
1994? Ford Contour. Worst car I've ever owned. It was ok when I got it, a friend warned me that at around 70k miles it would start to die & he was right. The thing just seemed to melt.
2007 Honda Fit Milano Red AT Sport. Best car Ever!
I'll buy other cars in the future, but this one was the first one I purchased because I wanted it instead of it being convenient to buy, I think I'll have the Fit for a long long time.
