Drove a '98 CRV that my parents owned when I was in high school and by the time I graduated I saved enough for a new '08 Fit Sport. Been driving it since then and plan on keeping it for a long time as my DD.

71 and looking around for new Fit LX
-------------
Some cars I've registered:
'61 VW Beetle
'66 MG Midget
'70 VW Squareback
'77 Mercedes 240D
....and a dazzling array of Subarus most of which made threatening sounds of impending death---but none actually ever did croak on my watch.
...and a couple of International Scouts whose only purpose in life was to rust away to a pile of iron oxide flakes.
...the worst car I ever dealt with was a Chevy Tracker ----examining ANY portion of that car's anatomy made me cry and laugh. Oh wait, I forgot the Pontiac Sunbird: even General Motors was embarrassed by that car.
The happiest time of my life were during the months of anticipation waiting for a dark green Morgan 4+4 to be delivered. Please, dont ask.
My best night was crossing Indiana in an early Porsche Speedster.
The sound that still thrills me most is made by the Austin Healy 3000.
I'd love to own a London Taxi; I'd be happy just to polish one.

I agree with you about the sound of the big Healys... I had a 61 Mk I 3000 with overdrive.. I'd drive all night long on desolate rural roads with the top removed... I had to soak up as much of the sound as I could...
I am 69 and expect my new black Fit LX CVT very soon. My first Honda was 1983 Civic S I bought new. I think it only came in Black or Red with manual transmission. I had Black car. I think the engine was same as regular Civic.

2015 black exl + navigation
This is my third honda
First honda was a 2000 civic that I traded in for my 2005 crv that I still own, the fit fit our needs for an economical second car, the Harley wasn't cutting it for our second vehicle with the way the weather has been

You young snot-nosed whipper-snappers get my irritable bowels in a twist. I'm 65. I researched Consumer Reports to find the cheapest car that got great ratings. Fit was it.
I've always liked Honda engines, from my first Honda Dream motorcycle, to a Civic Hybrid, and now the Fit. It's a practical little econobox. I like it.
Gotta go change my diaper now.
