I'm 34. I don't consider myself old, simply mature. Although, I'm sure some of my friends and family would feel differently.

It's amazing the age span you'll see on track days. This is the great thing about the community. The Fit offers all a fun car to drive and can easily be upgraded to handle like a dream haha.

Talking

23, almost bought a VW Rabbit but just couldn't deal when the coils blew on a test drive... met the fit and fell in love.

It's my first car that is all mine, but before this I shared an 03 Acura TL v6. Pretty nice ride, but hated filling the tank...

46 here.

However, I just tinted the windows so no one can tell my age or whether or not I'm picking my nose while I drive.

Congrats on your FIT. You should not have to visits the gas pumps as much now. Mine has been trouble free so far. Bill #22335 PS: what is the last 5 digits of your VIN, I am curious how many have been made now.

It is an array of ages on here and mixture of cars previously owned. Lots of Honda loyalists on here!

I'm 32 and this is my first Honda. List of previous cars in order of ownership:

1993 Geo Metro
1995 Ford Aspire
2000 Hyundai Elantra
1978 Toyota Truck
2002 Hyundai Elantra GT
2004 Chevrolet Aveo
1987 Subaru Justy GL
1995 Ford Escort LX
2005 Ford Focus ZX5
1988 Daihatsu Charade CLS
2015 Honda Fit LX

The older cars have always been secondary cars to the newer cars and just commuters

Interesting. Did something happen with the Aerostar to make you switch from Ford to Honda? You had a lot of Fords before that and suddenly it's been Hondas ever since

I've heard horror stories of Aerostars. Even though I love Ford and liked those vans, they just didn't have good reliability.

Just wondering if it was so bad that you swore off of Ford?

16- my dad had it before me and passed it along. I have to say it is an excellent first car to own, and extremely practical. I play drums, and being able to fit an entire set into my car is amazing. I also love this community and all the ideas and motivation you guys give me. I'm proud to be a Fit owner.

Hello festiboi, interesting that you should ask, but I will spare you a full vent! I have driven most of my cars until I don't care about the trade-in value. I had pretty good luck with the Escort & LTD, and wanted to cart kids from our scout troop to camping trips and Philmont. Unfortunately, it turns out that the Aerostar, while a dream vehicle for the stated purpose at first, inherited a bad mix of genes, with a rather massive, truck-like body plopped onto a sedan chassis. Both the suspension and automatic transmission rapidly degraded over 5 years, and I "abandoned" it in the Credit Union parking lot (limped in as a trade) and bowed to the many Honda kudos and recommendations shared by kith and kin over the years. Unfortunately, a driver pulled out in front of my wife, totaling the Accord, an 18-foot van slid down the Indian Trail on-coming ramp on I85 N in a thunderstorm, totaling the CR-V (driver with no license & no tread), and a driver pulled out in front of me on Buford Highway last June, totaling the Fit Sport. So, in terms of [insurance] cash flow, we have enjoyed significant replacement cost savings, and are lucky not to have been too seriously injured or worse. So yes, the departure from Ford was due to the Aerostar, and the attachment to Honda has been service and survival-related. I hope that isn't too much more than you wanted to know, but heck, what's the internet for anyway??

'04 GMC 2500 Crew Cab (First loaded vehicle with every option)
'85 Honda Accord Wagon (reworked finances and wanted something for cash)
