Why trade that beastly beauty in? I can't imagine you got very much for it. I miss our 87 4WD Civic Wagon so much, every time I see one on the road I get a little sad.

His name was the beast, Fit's name is Albert

Former car was named...

My wife got MINI IN BLACK... The Xenons geve it a Men In Black kind of ray gun effect. Here is an old sig pix...

If I go for a black Fit, it could be FIB Fit in Black...

But I am leaning more towards blue or orange. Wouldn't know that to name it. What was the gil's name in "You Only Live Twice"? The one who drove the Toyota 2000GT convertable, and was killed by the poison down the string... Aki?

I think you must be a sweetie... good 4 U. My heart sunk at the thought of giving her up..but, she seemed happy in the end. at some point, the car goes to the happy hunting ground..and now she and I are the "Real Gone Girl". I got $1000 for her bones and she was recycled. I had a '86 Honda hatchback on Maui, which I had to leave for someone to sell for me when I moved to L.A. When they wrote and sent me the money for the sale...I cried so hard. It was a surprise to find out I had those feelings for the car...but, too late to change anything.

You got it , it just seemed appropriate, not exactly sexy, kinda on the lumpy side, but lovable nonetheless.

Goldie, I also got that $1k deal to recylce the beast, but I really tried to get the smog issue fixed first, it was gonna cost way more so it was time to let him go. And curiously I also had a Honda Hatchback, a '92 VX, that was plowed into while parked on the street. That was the best car ever, 40MPG slightly lowered, just awesome all around. That car I really do miss the most

so we did the same thing. You know how it is...what it feels like. maybe it is like a favorite pet that must be put down..very high on the scale of sad experiences. I thought of what you wrote ..about seeing a car like it..and missing it.. when I was at the car wash a day ago cleaning my new Fit...and across the street was a '89 civic wagon just like the one that I left in the recycling yard...(I did try and fix her, too...but all the signs seemed to point to NOW) she never gave me one single problem...ever. anyway, I have been bonding with the new and lovely Fit. ;-) to me, it looks like the old car that had a fantastic makeover...or something.

Yes, it can be quite painful to traid ina car. Other times, it can be quite a joy.

When we sold our Stratus to buy a MINI it was quite happy. But to sell the MINI because of the divorce, it is QUITE sad (and the diovorce is not helping either). But hopefully a FIT (after my divorce is final) will help relieve that pain!

My integra gave me 'my' name... she's the Black Widow (g2 integra) and my Fit doesn't have a name yet, but probably the Blue Devil or Blue Demon. lol

Blaze Orange Fit gets a name.....

Mind you when I got my Fit in June of 06, the fellas at my work gave me a lot of grief. I went from an 05 GTO to the Fit for the gas costs, and to be more practical. The name I have adopted from all that grief came from one of the guys......"Matchbox"

I named my SSM A/T sport after the Japanese word for "storm" since it's storm silver and, by the way, this color looks the best on a cloudy day! Arashi... pronounced "ah-la-she".

I was thinking of calling my fit "of Doom!"

I'll have to see how it is when I get it back though,
