I'd almost rather have not gotten the Fit at all and still be waiting! That sounds weird but here's my logic...

It was such a tease to have it for only two weeks!!!!! AHHHH!!

I hope everyone gets theirs soon though...

Brutal....life is what happens while you're making other plans... Hope it's fixed soon! Let us know if getting it fixed is difficult since the car is so new.

Well they were able to get the doors right away, they were in Toronto. I was surprised..I was sure everything was going to have to come from Japan!
The doors are on and look great..

I guess because it's so new, that's why it's so hard to get the somewhat obscure parts...such as the rubber seal stuff for the windows. There's probably just not a whole lot of it floating around in North America yet. So yeah, that's a downside to a brand new car...but Fit is worth it

The Fit is back!

The black trim stuff for around the windows (not the rubber seal stuff like we thought) is the backordered part. So whilst the Fit is slightly incomplete while we wait for the backordered parts to come from like Japan...at least I have my car back!

Looks pretty good! Except for the obvious missing trim around the back seat window

sorry to hear about your minor accident--but you and your bubby were both okay and that is the the most important thing.

I think the car looks great. We noticed one tiny spot in the clearcoat that should be buffed smooth, but other than that... you'd never know the car was in an accident.

But anyone checking out your car, including a dealer when you trade it in will know you have been in an accident, there go's your resale value.

I think at this point resale value is the farthest thing from her mind. This is a car, not a collector's item. Although Honda's seem to retain their value better than a lot of other brands, buying a Fit is a purchase, not an investment.

Congratulations on getting your car back. Maybe while you are waiting for the trim, take a big black Sharpie to it.

Of course. You're legally obligated to tell the dealer the vehicle has been involved in an accident and yes, this will affect its resale value. Unfortunately there's not much we can do about that now. When it comes time to trade in the Fit, we'll probably opt to trade it in on another Honda, since they'll be able to offer us more than another dealership.

Since the damage was purely cosmetic (no structural or alignment problems), hopefully it won't dramatically affect resale.
