lol who else is going to make a change? I'm hoping I get an offer at my current job...if I do, you can bet your arse I'll be speccing my 135i every day during school hahahahah
Not planning a change to my DD's but I should have something older, uglier and louder that should be able to compete by the time you guys both change cars.
Been out of the scene for too long, I want a new project car before the race season starts next year and I plan on attending many auto x events

It really bothers me that for certain options I want with the 135i it adds over 10K
Are memory seats and a sunroof so much to ask?

No I hear ya. Speccing out the 135i up here is drastically more expensive than in the states. I'm going to forgo the luxury of a sunroof etc. but going to get the M sport package if I have to get it up here and possibly the leather seats and hifi system
Don't do it man, nothing against bimmer, but i'm a honda or audi fan. Get a A3 turbo, or mod your fit. Gas prices will go up alot more. And BMW's are suffering with poor reliability, and premium gas with poor mileage, are good reasons not to. Plus high insurance, and repair prices.
The 135i is actually pretty good on gas! Also... the A3 also uses premium too does it not
BMW is ok, they have a few issues like any car. I have heard they are about to recall all of the high pressure fuel pumps for the N54 engines though so anybody considering one should be waiting for that to be fixed first.

Looks like Audi is behind BMW for reliability... although that isn't really a surprise. I have heard a lot of horror stories about old Quattro wiring.
Hmmm, the 135i is winning me back again :P I can't keep up with Illusive's mods if he starts building on that!!!!!
I stopped by the Audi Dealership, no A5 or S5's on site. Although there was a black R8 outside tucked away at the back

Let me think back to our first meet when people asked me about modding my Fit and my response was "No no, the Fit is my DD. I just changed out the wheels and that is it, no mods!"... good luck
Alright, I think I have it this time
Found locally for about 23K : 2003/04 Nissan 350Z w/ track package
Basically the car weighs in at 3200lbs, is about 200 to 300lbs lighter than the current 350Z's and 400lbs lighter than the G35's; however some trade off's - the 2005-2006 350Z has 300hp while the ones I am looking at have only 285. In contrast though the older ones have 275ft/lbs of torque while newer ones have only 260ft/lbs.
The good stuff; Track pacakge includes a LSD, 235Front/245rear oem wide tires, the big Brembo brakes, better bolstered seats & also a little bit stiffer suspension package. Skid pad results are around 0.90g, slalom is up over 70mph. With R-rubber on the car I would expect the skid pad to return over at least 1.0g which should be good for the course
Car falls into a BS stock catagory, but I think it will do well with the tires, suspension and LSD.
Will need to see if I can find Enkei RPF1's within 5mm of the OEM offset so I can stay legal in that class and wrap them in R-Comp rubber for the season

How the hell is it out-performing the Audi so much!
