Sugarphreak.... shouldn't you be running 205/40R17 tires? not 45 series?

The 205/45/16 should have a theoretical overall dia of about 23.26", my tires (205/40/17) are running a larger theoretical dia of 23.46". It is a pretty close match; same offset, same tire dia, same tread width.

I will let you know tommorow if the new wheels stops my rubbing issue.

Thumbs up

New Wheels are ON!

Happy to report no immediate rubbing under hard cornering,
I will be doing some testing tonight to see if any occurs with a full load of people in the car. Check back later for pics and test results.

Laterz!

lol, what is this a dead thread

So wheels are on, here are the pics. Also great news, with 4 people in the car I could not get these tires to rub! I hit speed-bumps, threw it into corners, nailed nasty bumps and potholes on the high speed roads.... nothing but smooth sailing!

Sorry, car is a little dirty

Looks good! I agree with Illusive.. they look HUMONGOUS! (sp?)

Any idea what the weight is? I've been obsessed with wheel and tire weights lately.. My Enkei and new tire combo should drop about 8-10lbs per wheel and I am hoping it'll being some life to the Fit..

Thanks

I am pretty sure these are slightly lighter than the GF7's I had one before, there is a noticable increased responce when I accelerate. but short of actually putting them on a scale I can't find specs anywhere. I would guess-timate the tire & rim combo weighs in around 22lbs.

lol, this is going to get interesting once I put on the performance springs

Man, I would love a set of Enkei's!!

Some links I ran across when I was obsessed too
Wheelspecs.com :: Free information, specs, and wheel weights on stock, oem, aftermarket, custom, and racing wheels
WHEELWEIGHTS.NET
mySportsCar.com - Wheel Weight Database

also check out Tires & Wheels - 1010tires.com the absolute tire and wheel authority, they seem to have the most listed weights for rims.

Ya.. I'm hoping my new Enkei RPF1s come in today... 9.5lbs per wheel..

22lbs for any 17" tire/rim combo would be insanely lighty.. I would almost say the rim alone would weigh about 22 lbs and 18-25lbs per tire.. so maybe anywhere from 38-50lbs for 17" with rubber?

My Enkei RPF1s are 9.5 and my new tires are 17. so a grand total of 26.5lbs per corner.. I think the stock sport wheel/tire combo comes in at about 34-36 lbs.

Thats pretty good Illusive.. almost/or the same as stock weight! I was worried about getting 17s cause of the weight increase, but looks like its almost identical.

wow, I massivly underestimted the rubber. For some reason I was thinking like 8lbs for 50 series and less than that for lower profile tires. haha, wishful thinking I guess Now that I have looked into it a bit on the net it looks like the tires are probably close to 20lbs lol, my new guess-timate is around 40lbs for the setup

I think my rims around sitting somewhere around 19lbs (although I can't verify that anywhere yet). Similar 5 spoke styles from RTX are about that weight.

Damn... does that mean my setup weighs more than stock

Yeah but my fuel economy is in the stinker right now thanks to a little more spirited driving in the spring/summer and the bigger wheels...oh well I got some goodies that should help me out in that department

Thanks! I was out grabbing some camping gear today, you caught me taking a lunch break and loading up on coffee My friend who was with me smokes so we had to keep standing outside wherever we went.

I didn't spot your ride, were you in the lot somewhere or just passing by?
