Calgary & Alberta Fit Owners?
You shouldn't be charged more than $340 for the install. thats based on $85/hour and book time is around 4hrs to complete. Tuner works is a good company to deal with, they are very knowledgeable in the products they sell.
wow.. that's a lot for such an easy job. literally.. if you're doggin' it, it might take 2 hours. Especially since its such a new car and there's no siezed bolts or rust, it should make things a sinch (sp?)
sugarphreak. PM me when you get your springs in if you want me to lower it for you. 1000 pennies is what i'll charge you if Tunerworks is gonna charge you that much.
I didn't want to get into this, but I can do a lot of wrench work if ppl need it.. also, I used to be a car audio installer.. MECP First Class Certified and have about 8 years of exp. I don't have a ton of time anymore to do huge custom jobs and I've finally got my techie job I've always wanted so I moved outta that industry a couple years ago..
I wouldn't mind helping out a few peeps in town from the forum if needed... and if they can work around my schedule.

That is awsome, I apprecaite the offer. I will PM you once I get them in.
You do some serious car audio, that is pretty cool.
I used to be involved in putting together some SPL cars back about 8 years ago (yikes, I am getting old), I still have subs, caps, decks and amps all over the place. The GF didn't want me messing with the Fit's stock stereo because it is our only car for the next little while.
My plan is to put them to good use in my future second car.

"May the Fit be with you"
so you guys are saying i shouldnt order it from tunerworks? such a long waiting period. i want to get the Tanabe spring, which one do you guys recommond? i believe theres two types, one drop more than others. do you know if the Tanabe spring also fit with yaris?
last time i help my friend do research on yaris forum. i notice yaris people dont mod their car as much as we do.. =) , hardly see any of them use brand name wheels- volks. overall FIT has WAY more aftermarket parts. toyota deal does offer lower the car, but cost $1k. lol

haha, can you tell I am bored today with how many postings I have up
Tanabe has two springs for the fit, the GF210's and the DF210's. The DF's lower the car, the GF's are more performance orientated and lower the car only about half as much. You can check out the application charts over at Tanabe Racing Development, USA - Welcome to our Homepage to get the exact front and rear drops as well as the spring rates.
I have only been waiting just over a week so far, they told me it would take about two for them to come in so I am not worried.

Yeah I have considered that, it haunts my dreams right now
I know Illusive runs roughly the same setup, but I am worried that maybe my rubber is a little big bigger even though it is the same government spec size.
I am hoping that the stiffer springs are going to remedy the problem because I only have the rub issue when the suspension bottoms out.
I guess I could have a local shop roll the fenders a bit, worst case senario I have to swap out the 205/40's for 195/40's.
Speaking of which, has anybody had thier fenders rolled here in Calgary? I know back in Van it is pretty easy to find a shop.
