True...I've given out negative reps before based on flaming / baiting posts...

 

+1. I've also given negative rep to people who just spam threads with useless information that has nothing to do with the topic. it's only happened once though.

 

Good to know about the new 50 rep mark. I was kinda feeling like 40 was still a bit low...so is 50 i suppose, but cool/useful none the less. Thanks mods and admin!!! For considering and implementing our thoughts and ideas. We all really appreciate it when there is that interaction, regardless of it going "our" way.

yeah I think I should give out more -neg rep as well as +pos rep but it seems that some people would (and have) retaliate when its given. I guess I should just man up though. I would like ppl to take the neg rep as "a minder of missconduct" but many I fear would take it to mean an "eff you", unfortunately.

 

You can neg rep me if you are really itchin' to do so and I won't return the favor...promise. I am not worried about what the green square says.

Yea im trying to post decent tasteful post's and not spam but being so close its hard not to just jump in the newbie threads and say "Hi welcome to the site" 39 more times. haha. When you get repped the ten newest will show up in your user cp page and they should have comments unless the originator didnt know how to. I repped you just to show you what it all looks like. Hope it helps ya.

Just wait for a couple days and then just try to remember who you repped last. I cant remember if its 10 or 15 reps a day that you can give out and then the system shuts you off for 24 hours so on top of not being able to rep the same person within 10 reps you also can only rep so much a day. haha. Its alot to keep up with. I always forget.

 

Some people are just wasting their time. If you have no rep points and a grey square NOTHING HAPPENS TO YOUR INTENDED "VICTIM" if you try and give them negative rep. No point loss no NOTHING.
