what is it your wife won't warm up to? it's a fun car, and it's roomy and cheap. can't beat that. good luck with the search for your color and transmission choice. it seems like it's hard to find any at the moment. hope you're right about spring time.

can't decide on base or sport. I got a "sport toyota matrix" and could not drive it in snow because of the sport fat tires. so I worry about the snow in clevland area.I do not care about audio or paddle shifters and seldom use cruse. However I do want auto entry/lock. any suggestions?

I dont think the tires on the sport are that much wider than the base. and you can always get different tires for winter, that's what I do. We had a pretty mild winter last year so you can always be optimistic. As far as the auto entry/lock goes, I believe you can get that installed on a base model. Not sure of the price/difficulty, but it can be done. So if you wanted to go that route it is possible. Either way, it's a great car. I really enjoy mine. Welcome to the club and congrats on your pick.

I've been surprised by how good white looks until you get very close. White can handle quite a bit of dirt before it looks bad. Never owned one before, but I've been paying attention.....

White, believe it or not, looks cleaner than most cars that are equally dirty!

FINALLY - 179 days after ordering and putting down a deposit, I have my Silver Sport 5-speed! Got it at Roush in Westerville. So far, so good. Haven't had time to prod & poke at all the do-dads yet. Traded in my 97 RAV4.

Wow, the FIT is soooooo quiet! I think I'm going to like it a lot.
