BOM Fit's in Cincinnati

This might be a dumb question, but what color is BOA? I am not near loveland, I am actually in Mt. Airy and saw the other one driving down North Bend rd... I have also seen a lot of the Toyota cars in orange, but they are a different shade than the Fit. I saw someone else mention that, in overcast light, the BOM actually looks a sort of peachy color... that was the first thing I noticed when I picked mine up. Took me a minute or 2 to get used to the shade, but now I love it

With all this ice and slush and salt on the roads, I keep having to clean out the wheel wells, the rear bumper really accumulates a lot of it... and when you wash your car, I also noticed that (if you have the sport model), the side spoilers are hollow and fill up with a lot of road salt/dirt, etc. I had posted on another thread about how I found it out, I usually spray underneath my car when I wash it, and I hit a sort of 'sweet spot' under the side and all this junk just came gushing out of the side spoiler, so now I take extra time to clean that out really well when I wash my car. Although I know the spoilers are plastic, I dont want anything metal that attaches to it to corrode or rust.

LOL BOA=Blaze Orange Automatic.....and yep looks kinda peachy to me too. Thanks for the tip on the side spoilers. I noticed the snow and yuck get packed behind the front tires so this week taking it in for first oil change I think I will have mud flaps added.

mud flaps

I think I read on another forum that mud flaps may not be able to be installed on the sport model, because of the side spoilers... not for sure, but I think it was something like that. I have just been kicking the slush off of the tires each time I park so far... once I get the time (and the inside space) I am going to clean her up really good

From Strongsville

Hey folks,

I have owned my Milano Red sport auto since December 06 and I'm loving it. I live in Strongsville area and I'm starting to see more and more Fit's on the street. However, I haven't seen any MR yet. I've seen lot of blue and silver. I'm the one with tint and no front plate.

The weather's getting better so any get togethers?

Q: When do you change transmission fluid? I'm already at 25k.

25k already? I thought I drove a lot. I've had mine since mid September and I'm approaching the 12k mark. Not sure when you change the transmission fluid but at your rate of driving it isn't too far off. I have the manual transmission and I've been told it is bullet proof so I'm not too worried about it.

Steve.

25k since Dec?! Wow, Ive had mine since late Dec and have about 3k on it. I am still waiting for the gas mileage to get beter, though, because it is still only about 30 mpg at best (and that is being very generous)... although it has been a few weeks since Ive kept close track because it was making me too angry In the meantime, I have decided to get tint on the windows because it was about 74 degrees here yesterday, bright and sunny, and did it get hot inside! Ive read that on a couple other forums as well, that it does tend to heat up in the sun, so I will be going with some tint soon. Because it was so beautiful outside, I washed and shined her up really pretty... and of course, it is raining today lol, thats what I get!

Welcome jimmyparky. I have a MR fit sport as well. I don't live too close to strongsville though. Not too sure about the transmission fluid, I'd say contact a dealer. They should know. There is a post here about possible get togethers, but nothing has been decided as of yet.

Hi, jimmyparky! I've got a red, too. I live in Euclid, though - far side of town from you - and currently work in Fairlawn. I expect to be working in Independence by next month though. No plate here also, yellow fogs, and a FitFreak.Net sticker in the back window.

I've seen a few Fits around, I work downtown cleveland and I usually see a black fit and a white fit downtown. today on my way home to north royalton i was followed by a white fit sport that was out of youngstown. didn't know if he was on here but i wanted to say hi. also was wondering if people were talking about a get together now that the weather's finally getting better.

So much for the bullet proof transmission. I went backpacking with my friend who works at the engine plant in Anna. He is the one who told me it was bullet proof. He has been having trouble with his Civic going into second gear after missing a shift a few times. He talked to another engineer and found out they use brass synchronizers in the transmission. So if you have a MT make sure you hit the shifts. If you miss, don't force it.

Anyone alive in here?

I just found another OHIO thread on here also.... I have seen a new base model fit near my house the past 2 days now, it is a color ive never seen... a light metallic blue-ish color. I wonder if its a new color for the coming year? And I saw a red sport model the other day at the same time, maybe a mile behind the blue one. LOL, guess Im not alone on the west side anymore Much love to my fellow Fit Freaks
