thinking about selling the fit
the miles on that car are not high.
i've had my fit for 1year and 2 months and i have over 35k.
i LOVE ek's. they are the ish. brilliant platform, and one of the best looking civics ever.
if you are actually going to better your situation, than thats a smart move. but no matter what, you WILL miss the fit. silver ek coupes are not exactly the rarest thing on the road, until you put your own spin on it.
last weekend i came this close to trading the fit for an 09 civic lx-s sedan.(rims, chrome tip, spoiler, leather wheel, si interior and white ext) it was nice, and it justifies what i pay everymonth for a car since its technically 'nicer' than the fit, but the dealer wouldn't get me where i wanted to be and i'm glad i didn't let it get the better of me.
but letting this become your project car could end up costing you more...will the amount of mods you pour into it counteract the amount of money you save on a car payment? will it be even more than what you paid for the fit monthy after mods?
it is your decison obviously, but those are some factors to consider. having said that, its very clean and good mileage.

i can do the LS swap my self and put the turbo together myself which would not cost me anything. Doing a K swap would cost me more to put in the fit than a LS motor.
the end result of paying 17k for the fit with warranty and gap versus paying about 7k for the coupe is big difference and thats without mods.
!!! I just bought my Fit in June, and I pay a sliver under $300 a month, and have four years left. I don't know when you got yours but it shows you a member since 07 so shrug...
It sounds like you bought a new car when you were not really ready for a new car? Methinks you got screwed on the financing.
Having said that I personally would not dump the Fit, because it doesn't make sense financially to get rid of a new car within 3 years of buying it.
Regarding the civic, 100k miles on a Honda is not excessive mileage, especially for a 10 year old car. $7600+ for that car I think is too much though.

the car is great and all but its never going to be where i want it to be and im not going to destroy this car to turn it into what i want.
Sounds like you've got your mind made up then. Do it and be happy!

havent bought it yet so no worries. and all miracle x bars are for the rear but this one eliminates the use of back seats
i had a 7th gen civic before my 8th gen as my dd and they rode
like crap. the suspension is not good at all, imho. too bouncy.
but i can understand if money's tight you need to make those
decisions...
