Texas Fits, Anything goes thread
I thought you were another knife collector/enthusiast... I read your post about hills on I-45 and kind of laughed then considered that if I was living in Houston I would consider it hilly as well.... Between U.S.59 and U.S. 79 it is very hilly now that I think about a little more. I think I got 42 MPG on a trip in south Texas, my figuring could have been off at the time from too much Mescal and Puro Cano purchased in Matamoros.
Oh by the way backwoods, and anyone else who wants to come, be sure wear clothes that you'll be cool in, a chair, and sunblock. There is a tented area, restroom, and food on site and drinks are provided but feel free to your own tent/umbrella as well as food/drink (as long as it doesn't contain any alcohol and/or drug).
I don't know the official driver count at the moment because the event's thread is posted on multiple forums. I'll be spectating the event and may be snapping a few pics of the cars in the pits.

Heads up for anyone who is interested in getting some seat time. There is a gymkhana event going on September 26th (3rd Sunday of the month). It costs 30 bucks to run (10 to watch) and you'll get 10 timed runs for the event. Then after the last driver finishes you are allowed back on the course for fun runs and can get addition seat time. For those who are interested, click the link below.

Ha, well if you still are still up for getting some pics taken you (and anyone else) are welcome to come join us at the Thursday night meets in Lake Jackson or to come to Angleton Raceway for the gymkhana and drift events. Just give a heads up so someone will remember to bring a camera.
Ah, I see.
If I recall correctly there was 16 cars on the track, roughly 30-35 people there in total, and 1 cow. Josh Steel from NEVRSLO Motorsports was out there in his drift car showing the drivers an example of a proper line on the course as well as putting on a good show for us and was one of the judges for the event. The event was great and the people there were quite some awesome characters; it was definitely a good way to spend a Sunday in my opinion.

Nope, too tired. My computer sucks and keeps me from editing the video. But I'll have the pic's up in a day or two.
