I think I've given out my 10 rep points or you'd get one for that.

How much did all of you pay for your tint?

Brand?
Type?

Sun Tint wants $300ish for Solar Gard ceramic.

That sounds a little high, but not too much. Don't let them upsell you. A lot of shops will start off low but by the time they add on a lot of stuff, you will pay more, and I just hate people who upsell, period.

Yea like my Eibach Sportline Springs...the guy said 259.99 for em and the total was around 320ish. But I paid the dude and got my look on. Now I regret getting them cause on the way to Utah every dip in the freakin high way I felt and heard my front lip scrape the road. Ugh! But I think it looks good so I can't really complain. but yea I don't get the points system either...but oooooh well. Im about to go to a 4th of July meet here in U-taaaaaah. (Peanut from Jeff-fa-fa...Dun Ham....Dot Cooom!)

$300 for solar guard? GEEZUS thats expensive. I might expect to pay that for Llumar or Matico film with lifetime warranty.

If it ain't got lifetime warranty guaranteed at any Solar Guard dealer than it definitly ain't worth $300 and no SG we ever sold had a lifetime. At most 5 years.

Oh so whats up guys. I just randomly got an email from this thread and thought I'd pop in and say hi. The fit sold a couple of months ago. And I'm actually selling my 1JZ powered cressida now because I'm moving to Japan in the spring/summer of next year to teach english. Anyway hope ya'lls doing well.

It sounds like a lot to me. However, it does have a lifetime warranty...at least that's what I was told over the phone.

Is ceramic tint the way to go? I need something that reflects heat well, and I want something that will last more than 10 years without fading or anything like that.

in my experience with SG it fades. Altho i don't have tons of experience with the ceramic. Ceramic is the way to go tho if you're gonna spend the money on tint. Better than the metallics. If its got lifetime warranty and they give you a card that says this is your warranty that guarantees it at *ANY* SG dealer then its worth it. If it only works at their shop and they shut down in 6 months then a lifetime warranty is only good for wiping your bottom.

What up BigT? Congrats on finally selling your Fit. How exactly did you find a job teaching in Japan if you don't mind me asking? That sounds like it'll be an interesting gig in addition to moving way over to Japan. Hope all goes well for you when you get there.

I'm still securing one. I'm trying right now to get into the Jet Program
But there are other jobs I'm looking at also as far as teaching english goes. In september I'm getting my TESOL certification. Which will open up more opportunities for me. I can't apply to many of the jobs until I have that. So at the moment I'm just trying to study some of the culture and make friends and penpals there. Also starting to learn the language. While I work and save money.

Its a new system the mods/admins are using to encourage people to post more. Aside from the activity bar, I think its a bit too excessive, clutters the forum, and over time will become irrelevant due to posters massively accumulating points in a short period of time (like the "rep system").

I found recently that I can't even use forums. Because most I would get banned from. I've been on JZXproject for too long now. This is probably the only thread where I'm ok to post here.

^Successful troll is successful.

Lol, I don't really see the need for the new rep system (which is confusing), or pretty much any rep system at all if it really isn't that accurate or relevant. I visit Fatwallet finance forums sometimes and their system allows you to positively or negatively rate each post, represented by a green or red bar so you can see what posts are relevant or which you can skip. It helps to quickly weed out the useless content/trolls.
